>wears a cape

t. I don't understand timbre

Sounds like you are the unskilled guitarist here, friend

play drums

i think capos are fine if you're doing something cool with it, if you're just using it to play first position chords somewhere other than in first position proper, then you can fuck off and die.

God, why is everyone always a retard about this.
It's simple:
If you're a skilled singer you will need a capo.
If you don't sing or you sing just casually you won't need a capo.

that makes sense pretty much
also the tard in me needs to acknowledge your septanic trips

Drums are the hardest instrument.

Oi shut up ya cunt

I'm a guitarist but can play drums. I just sat behind a friends kit one day and instinctively knew how to play

I also use a capo.

Not really user I just click a button and the drums start

>tfw when I'm not a skilled musician.
>tfw I use the capo
>tfw I suck even with it

It's been some years and I still don't have to motivation to learn more.

>George Harrison was an "unskilled guitarist"

Drums are the easiest instrument to pick up and play, but the hardest to actually sound good.

I know where your anger is coming from, but you know, capos aren't only for mediocre girls on youtube playing cowboy chords and singing pop songs, right? Even then, it's basically just the opposite of tuning down other than the sound change and perceived scale length change. I love reading all the capo hate on forums from blues-dads.

>things only unskilled "musicians" do
Post on a Mongolian yak milking forum instead of practicing

If my memory doesn't fail me, Marr tuned the guitar to fit F#m rather than Em because of Morrissey's voice, so it depends on how important your singer is.

pretty much
drum beats are easy drum roll transitions aren't. jazz drumming is even harder

TIMBRE

GOOGLE IT

No, you didn't. If your friend was actually good at drums you would have seen how shit you were. That's the thing about drums, you think you sound good until a real drummer gets behind the kit.

Truth.

why do you bring up drumming when talking about George Harrison's guitar skills?

its 2am and i live with other humans

I actually believe this, not because of how much practice is necessary to get good, but because of what is expected of you.

A guitarist, or even bassist has so much less responsibility, and when a drummer fucks up, it's really obvious.

fuck you

> using a ton of reverb on vocals instead of learning to sing properly
> using a ton of reverb to cover up general recording mistakes

fuck you

I'll bet none of y'all are man enough to put the capo around the 9th fret

Grimes really is talentless isn't she?

Why?

put it on the 9th fret bitch and play some shit

Is this thread a vehicle for you disdain Capos?

Because I saw another thread insulting guitar players using capos.

tshh, everything will be alright, OP. Just go to bed.

Play this youtu.be/-6FXeupOp04 in key without a capo on the second fret. I'd love to see it

>uses sheet music/tabs instead of playing by ear

>Claims to be a ''''musician''''
>Doesn't live in his car

haha good one mate

>guitarists who don't use a capo

its like you don't understand timbre

Nope. I could immediately play, and practice made it easier.

Ginger Baker did the same thing.

yeah nick drake was a shit guitarist am i right

Not really though, Just listen to Sonic Youth. They're all really talented, unique vocalists and they use raw skill rather than capos.

You said what faggot?

ITT: People who don't know a damn thing

guess how i know you are under 18

more like 'gaypo'

I'm not the guy you're replying to. But the highest I've ever had to play a capo was for this song: youtube.com/watch?v=ji-EdRtL9qU

I know I know, all of us are supposed to hate these guys now. But I spent time learning that riff from Ugly Cherries that you hear at the beginning of that video. I got it down PERFECT. Perfect man. We played it live at every show for like 6 months. Then the allegations came out. Son of a bitch. Now we can't play one of our favorite and most fun songs. Loved screaming it. Fuck those guys, not only for what they did, but also for fucking up playing one of my favorite riffs ever life.

b8

>Uses a bow with rosin while playing fiddle

real nibbas do 15th fret capo

>He seriously thinks this
There's a time and place for everything

>hardest to actually sound good.
nope, a violin is much harder to make sound good
