Of guys and girls who go to the gym, it's almost entirely the girls who need to make people aware of it in my experience. Some guys do, but most just go and don't spam it.

There is also the fact that women feel "empowered" when acting in the same despicable manner the worst kind of men do, they basically want to be whores because some men act like that. And there is also a difference between "feeling empowered" and actually being powerful, and in any case being modest is the only acceptable way one can act, so there is no reason to say out loud how powerful one is, just show it.
