Thoughts on this movie?

I really enjoy the music in this movie and pretty much any of the cooking scenes. The story Is kinda eh and characters lack luster, but there's some good parts.
Decent time killing, hungry inducing movie
>My name a chef

I really wish I could have the grilled cheese he makes for his son all the time.

eh movie

kinda get what it tries to do, but doesn't hit all the spots for me

ONE STICKY DINKY COMIN UP

Kino

What's stopping you from making it?

Makes me want a cuban sandwich. Beyond that it's a harmless charming film and the kid actor doesn't suck.

Leguizamo is like a bonus.

Get a good look at this that takes talent. And I believe food tastes better when someone who loves you makes it which is why I haven't eaten in a month.

Gavin

comfy as all fucking hell. literally one of the comfiest films i've ever seen.

I really liked it. I love that style of cooking and the whole father/son dynamic.

I watched it on Netflix, then immediately watched it again.

Chef?

shit. "oh god cuban sandwiches can fix my family"-tier

FILM

NICE AND MEMEY

>food tastes better when someone who loves you makes it
Is there any truth to this or is only this user?

Pretty comfy
It's extremely simple but that kinda works in its favor
Not sure why they made it R though, this is something you would want to watch with a family

comfy movie to watch when ur bored one day and want something light hearted. not much rewatchability though.

my grandma use to make me sandwiches everyday after high school and I still haven't had any sandwich better than those.

God Tier comfy kino
The definition of a feel good movie. I kept thinking there was going to be some tragedy thrown in the middle to break it up, but there wasn't. They didn't throw the romance in. Your face like most movies. It was all off screen and the end was a surprise and made complete sense. Leguizamo is kickass, as is that dude from Boardwalk Empire, and Dustan Hoffman was a delicious little surprise.
I am pretty sure I will get it for Christmas. And. Yeah, the music is fun I made a playlist out of the soundtrack and shake my ass like Ricky Ricardo in the kitchen.

I haven't seen it but my fat roommate loves it. Is it just food porn or is it an actual good movie other than "omg grilled chs so yummi"

Both

>takes talent

i mean you could just copy what he does. It's in real-time. you won't get it right the first time. But the third time? It'll be worth it.

The hardest part about recreating that would be procuring those cheeses. The bread looks standard.

Kept expecting something bad to happen.

Nothing bad ever happens.

Top-tier comfycore.
