We have a rather temperate climate, when the temperature swings to either extreme its rater jarring.
Also here in ireland its usually a humid heat, which is very uncomfortable. I can handle 40c in greece, but 24 here is death.

Ayyy, People don't realise the British Isles is as far north as Canada is. It's only thanks to the gulf stream that the islands don't freeze over every winter. The islands are also the meeting point of three main weather systems, hence why our weather is so changeable.
My hometown is as far north as the northernmost point in mainland Canada.
I've never really thought about it.
