What does Sup Forums think of this album?
meme but also sincerely good
Sup Forums always loved ELO before the redditors came and we stopped talking about them
HERE IS THE NEWS
ELO has always been the bomb diggity, dog.
>ITT: fathers 40+
Has anyone listened to Jeff Lynne's latest?
Only-listened-because-of-album-cover core
Hi son
Alone in the Universe? Yeah it's pretty good
GOAT
This album is great.
I've been getting into The Move lately. Great 70s hard rock/power pop.
This, but it's not one of my favourite albums
time and yours truly 2095 are god tier tracks
the rest are kinda eh
very top heavy album
Wrong, it's actually one of the greatest pop records ever and is consistently great
There's no track called Time
shit i meant twilight
well that's like your opinion man but I think the 2nd half is pretty weak
How could you think this when The Lights Go Down is the best song on the album?
>you will never write a cult retrofuturism album
sounds like a song that would be on a paul mccartney solo album and be forgotten
daily reminder than the daicon IV opening is GOAT if you haven't seen it already
youtube.com
but that's wrong
I hadn't, thanks for that
it's the only good elo album, all the others have 1 or 2 singles and a bunch of filler
Sadly this, wish it wasn't the case
*now ffs
>Eldorado
>only 2 good songs
Hyperpleb
Funny, I tried ELO for the first time today and really liked it
Nah
what song took your fancy?
Out of the Blue is a double album where nearly every song could have been a single.
Only good ELO album comin' thru
I want to say Out of the Blue is a better album than Time but truthfully I just really like Mr. Bluesky
wtf this is amazing
This, so much consistently good material on there. In addition to the actual singles from the album, Birmingham Blues, Big Wheels and Wild West Hero are some of ELO's best songs period.
Thoughts Sup Forums?
I don't really give a shit about retrofuturism and all that schlock. I just think it's an amazingly done emotional album that delivers the idea of being someone in a strange place you don't belong in and yearning for home in a fun, yet very sincere way that no other album I know of has done before, on top of being ridiculously catchy. Nothing else in the ELO discography even comes close to half the genius of this album honesty. Definitely one of my favourite albums of all time.
One of the cut tracks.
It's really catchy.

As a standalone song, I would agree. But the context of the album gives it a bittersweet edge to it.
>tfw you will never hallucinate conversations with your qt wife that died 100 years ago
I agree. It's incredibly melodic and perfectly arranged.
