I know practically nothing of grime, listened to Konnichiwa and liked it quite a bit. What's some of the essential grime I should have already known

It's so much better than anything skepta has made
If you're looking for more modern grime then:
Jme - Integrity>, Wiley - Godfather, Kano - Made In The Manor (there's a lot of hip-hop on here but Kano's a grime OG and there are some grime tracks on it), Big Zuu, Big Zuu, AJ Tracey - Secure The Bag! (this is AJ's newest, his projects go more trappy and less grimey as they get newer so if you want more grimey then listen to his previous EPs like Alex Moran)
jus' a rascal - Dizzie Rascal is a must listen
Boy In Da Corner by Dizzee Rascal. It is considered the masterpiece of the grime movement. I would also personally recommend Made In The Manor by Kano.
Do not go near stormzy.
JME and Skepta fairly decent, don't listen to too much grime honestly but I liked Konnichiwa.
Grime back in the day was all about radio sets, go look around for some of those. I don't know enough to recommend any, but I know that that's where it's at
heard good shit about some of his shit.
I don't think stormzy is that bad, really. Yes, I think he went a bit more mainstream with gang signs & prayer, but you kind of have to listen to the big three of his (where do you know me from, wickedskengman 4 and shut up) just because of how big they were.
It's genuinely a classic rap album. It's brilliant and nothing else in grime has come anywhere near it.
Grime is a dying genre. The main big waves in UK music right now are the wavey afroswing shit like:

Grime isn't Grimey anymore
>I AINT COMIN TO FIGHT LIKE JET LI
>SPRAY THIS TILL THE CLIP IS EMPTY
>I KNOW YOU GET WHAT I'M SAYING, YA GET ME?
What was he trying to convey?
There's still plenty of grimey grime. The new generation of MCs are hard. See YGG, Jammz, Mez, Big Zuu, AJ Tracey when he actually chooses to spit on grime, The Square (when they're actually active), Novelist, Vision Crew, Izzie Gibbs, etc are all sick.
They're just never gonna get anywhere with their music because grime isn't the wave anymore. People don't want to hear that style of music. They've moved on to the other shit.
too coded
He didn't come to fight.
He's going to shoot his gun until he runs out of bullets.
He knows you understand what he's telling you.
