-How is Gojira related to Godzilla, exactly? -What does the end mean? Is it made of organism he absorbed? -Why the soundtrack sounds so much like Evangelion's? Is this the generic giant monster movie music in Japan?
>-Why the soundtrack sounds so much like Evangelion's? Made by the same guy from that show hence he put Evangelion material in this.
Otherwise the other music cues are based on the original 50's Godzilla movie.
Cameron Gomez
Godzilla is just his name in the US, since Gojira is a combination of the japenese words "gorilla" and "whale". Their the same thing.
Samuel Hill
There are also some other early era themes from other G films.
Henry Ramirez
>-How is Gojira related to Godzilla, exactly?
He isn't. This is a stand alone flick
>What does the end mean?
This Godzilla is like Darwin from the Xmen. He evolves rapidly to survive. He was budding at the end to try and save himself. The world would have been over run with Godzillas
Easton Davis
No. Godzilla literally means "Giant Lizard".
Shin Godzilla = True Godzilla.
Noah Bell
too bad Anno won't be directing the sequel :(
Hudson Morgan
How do you marathon a movie you fucktard? Or did you watch ALL Godzilla movies?
Ryder Wilson
but those skelletons looked like humans
Bentley White
yes, I watched them all including the one featuring your mom
Eli Sanders
Maybe the organism wanted to copy the dominant species so its "offspring" could stay undetected. Copying other races happens in nature too sometimes.
Oliver Harris
They kinda did but you can also see they have traits of Godzilla
Ian Cooper
Yes that is what Godzilla means. I was saying that he was givin that name by the US version
Juan Wilson
>but those skelletons looked like humans nah they have weird skeletal things on their body. Kinda like hybrids.
Dominic Gutierrez
The most pure kino since BvS
Michael Anderson
And Gojira is Jap name numbnuts
Gabriel Perez
so it absorbs them and then mutates them?
Lucas Morgan
Possibly but I think they've would've shown Godzilla eating/absorbing people if that were the case.
Loved this film, only complaint would have to be the budget. Regardless it was insanely better than G14.
Nathan Smith
>How is Gojira related to Godzilla, exactly? As in the universe, he's not related by anything to any other Godzilla. Its a full reboot. In the movie, however, Goro Maki, the guy that discovered him, called him Gojira because it means "A God Incarnate" in his native land (This was Cut in the DVD rip we got recently)
>What does the end mean? Is it made of organism he absorbed? Godzilla constantly evolves, and it evolves based on the strongest organism he finds (Which is why his second form looks like a fish that can walk) At the end, the strongest organism was man, because they managed to "defeat" him, so the end basically means they're fucked
>Why the soundtrack sounds so much like Evangelion's? Is this the generic giant monster movie music in Japan? Anno's autism
Hunter Torres
He was just evolving again. Trying to split into multiple godzilla-men to escape being frozen.
