What do you rank this album out of 10 and why is it 10?

5, almost 6

-7

Probably an 8 or 9, I love it but I can't give a full 10 to something so blatantly derivative

420

why the low rankings?

7
Joy division but not as good

I would give it a 10 back in 03 but now I look back and it’s dog shit. Antics is where it’s at.

9.2

loses points for Leif Erickson and The New

Fucking incredible on the whole tho. Has aged well

but the "siren" guitar part in the new is the best part of the album

yep, this is it

7

Leif Erikson is probably my favourite track on there :(

>loses points for Leif Erickson
>Leif Erikson
>loses points

I have never read a post that made me disagree with so much that makes me feel hate not only for yourself but for everything you once hold dear. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you?

Anyway, it's a 10/10. Our Love to Admire and El Pintor are 9s, and self titled is a 8

What about Antics?

How come people love this so much? I mean I always liked a couple of tracks but I never went crazy with it. Seriously tell me, I want to get the hype and maybe try to listen to it again after.

they never listen 2 post punk besides jd

anyone got a torrent? this album is so fucking hard to find in my country

because every track is flawless that's why

i wasn't so into it the first couple of times but the more i listened to it the more listenable it became, until i couldn't stop thinking about it. Maybe try start with songs like Untitled, NYC and the New

A solid 6.5. In their time they were considered the Beatles of NYC.

>considered the Beatles of NYC
how can one be so nu

Seven at best. Some of the tracks get repetive and other become a bore. Specialist is the best song imo

The outro to PDA is perfection.

9.5 probably

perfect 10

One of the most intoxicatingly lethargic albums I've listened to. Masterfully written, not terribly innovative, but it is emotional if nothing else. Its unity of emotion and adeptness of communicating that make it very good in my eyes.

This used to be my favourite album, but now I mostly find it average outside of Untitled and Obstacle 1. The guitars are just too simple.

I kind of agree with this but think Stella is probably the best track on the album.

There are some really strong moments, but I don't think it has any particular stand out tracks. But it fits together really well as a whole, has a very atmospheric and emotional tone, an interesting and detailed sound (that would be copied endlessly for the next few years), and doesn't ever really drag. It's not a 10 but a decent 9.

9
rating it 10 would make it as good as JD - Closer
which would be bullshit

>STELLA I LOVE YOU STELLA I LOVE YOU
She was all right because the sea was so airtight, she broke away
She is all right but she can't come out tonight, she broke away
