Countries you regularly visit but end up hating more every time

Countries you regularly visit but end up hating more every time.

I'll start with a classic

I would like to go there
Why you hate the Philippines?

Mostly traffic
Poor work ethic
Never had a meeting start on time
Food is always a gamble unless you're eating at an upmarket place
Casinos are filled with scum
Manilla is shit, overpopulated and smelly.

Then your standard complaints about any third world country

I always hear from Filipinos about how beautiful their home country is and the delicious food they eat when there.

Then when they actually visit and post pictures on facebook everything looks horrible.

Ugly streets that look remind me of suburbs like woodridge but with more ugly advertising.

Kids playing in mud creeks that I would probably not even want my kids to swim in.

The delicious food they talk about looks like left overs in 20 yr old Tupperware containers and so much else.

I want to go to see what it's like but I am convinced at least 90 percent of the country is disgusting despite filipinos telling me otherwise.

Once I go I can at least confirm that.. even looking at it on google streetview makes me think everything is worse than ghetto there.

I have to go to Manila about 3 times a year, for 1-2 weeks each time, this has been going on for about 3 years now. It was ok the first few times but Manlia is such a shit city that I now just go from the airport>Hotel>Work>Hotel>Airport

Yea I agree Manila is shit because everybody is there it's a mix of good and bad people from the provinces. In terms of work ethic it really depends on what industry you are working with if it's government those freeloaders would just watch tv shows all day or fiddle with their phones or if the company is low level. I interned for a software company and a lot of the employees are fresh grads and the work ethic is great, but of course they're fresh grads so I don't know if they will change in the future.

btw I'm already immune to the food, as a foreigner you'll probably get the shits if you eat at one of those squatter canteens in the area.

everytime i wake up and see people i end up hating my country even more

Flips always sayingn that the place where they come from is beautiful are most of the time plain lying to themselves. I often hear people from horrific places in Batangas saying that their place is beautiful and stuff: it's literally shit.

The Philippines a whole are however a very beautiful country. Boracay, Coron, the Hundred Islands and Tagaytay are all magnificient places just to name a few.

Pic related, the hundred islands, my grandpa lives in the biggest island of the archipelago, Cabarruyan island.

Yeah man everybody does this. Do you think Italy is beautiful? how about Australia? Can I go there?

its called regionalism

everytime you see a flip or some OFW replies how better their province is form Manila
its usually a africa jungle tier shithole

Some parts of Australia is and other places not so much.

The Sydney opera house always looks like it's dirty despite it being a big tourist attraction.

I have a Filipino friend whose mother forced her to visit every year during the summer. Often caused her to end up late to school and miss the first couple of weeks. She said she hated it even more every time she went, but she did visit some pretty stunning places.

She said the country as a civilization is shit though.

I can't say I blame her. My relatives from the US stopped going after their 3rd and final visit 7 years ago kek

I've visited almost every SEA country and Philippine urban areas are the worst, well, I think Cambodia might take the spot. The best is Singapore, myanmar and Thailand imo.

Why would you regularly visit it if you hated it?

that's exactly why, ahmed my akhi

Because I have a job you fucking faggot.

I enjoy the food, actually. That's probably my favorite part of visiting "Pinas" (which I have to do for a company a couple of times per year or so).

You can walk around most towns during lunch and immediately buy a bunch of fresh fish and seafood from a counter display for the equivalent of $3 or $4 with rice and kalamansi lime juice and relax.
