Working on Fire is a make-work program for people without jobs in SA, its the equivalent of getting a fucking youth baseball team from one of those keep troubled kids off the street programs and having them do it. They were flown to Canada on Canada's dollar, they are being equipped on Canada's dollar because they have none, and they are being trained on Canada's dollar because they also aren't trained. 200 people from a place with almost exclusively brush fires (not that most of them have even dealt with one of them) and Canada decided to bring them in to put out an unprecedented arboreal fire. To make it funnier, read mortifying, the canadian government has been refusing volunteers from the region who actually do have experience and equipment so that they can keep selling this stupid Mr. Bojangles SA bullshit.
