What's the verdict on Van Helsing?

what's the verdict on Van Helsing?

great entertainment value

Pretty good.

Kate Beckinsale at her prime

Good movie overall

the vampires were hot as fuck

HNNNG tier becky

It's fun.
Prime eye candy as well. Apparently Kate's tits always flopped out of her costume.

Kino

I don't think Kate's tits have ever flopped.

Great popcorn flick, comfy rewatch

Great DMC clone, loved it.

Loud, dumb and fun.

It all had that really over-the-top gothic feel to it, but that made it feel like a 90s movie that didn't take itself too seriously. And I like that.

I watch it every few years and it's still entertaining.

absolute monster kino

Fun, great style, great performances. Basically, adventure kino

Seen gameplay looks fun.

Cheesy as fuck but very comfy, I watch it every year during Halloween.

Absolute top tier fun movie to watch. On par with the Mummy, which had the same director I believe?

god tier schlock

Best werewolf design in any movie, a love-letter to the universal monster titles.

It's an essential Halloween watch for me.

>The Wolverine Becomes a Wolf-erine: The Movie

It was ahead of its time.

Execution wasn't perfect, but taking classic horror monsters and making Van Helsing an Action Hero is a great idea for an Action flick franchise.

Great eye candy for ladies (and gay men) too. Van Helsing and Dracula were f-ing hot!

this. the werewolfs looked so good.

Kino of the voluptuous vampire variety

when i watched it, one of the best movies ive ever seen. it had everything, best action, smoking hot women, cool story, end boss battles.. everything.
later i realized it's sorta average in the way that the story is a little generic. Monster hunter kills monster. Ok

>Beckinsale's nipples were apparantly popping out constantly during shooting due to corset + no bra
>This is never captured on film

A travesty.

one of my favorite movies

PS2 adaptation was pretty great as far as movie vidya goes.

Set pieces were very good I'd pay to watch a sequel

>universal was supposed to make a cinematic universe
>we should be entering the age of monsterkino
>dracula untold bombed

>one is a vampire, the immortal tempter that gives you a debilitating venereal disease, the embodiment of victorian society's fear of a promiscuous lifestyle out in the open

>the other is Huge Jacked Man

They did everything right.

fun flick.

trash but very enjoyable

trash

who else rented this from blockbuster after watching the flick?

>the fight vs Mr Hyde in the beginning

i'd like to see van helsing take on more victorian villains.

just make the entire story happen in one night. let the invisible man or something be the villain who has some master plan to destroy london and the whole movie is van helsing following the trail of destruction and escaping traps to kill him in the end

*inhales*

reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

It's a fun stupid ride as long as you don't take it seriously.

Is this a stealth Kate thread?

Had all the right elements, but somehow it sucked

Who /sugarmommy/ here? Literally the best relationships.

>Can lose your hat if you take heavy damage, get a bonus if you finish the mission with it

It's the small details

>dracula untold bombed
cause it was shit

I never did enjoy it that much due to the shitty plot holes. Still fun to be had though.

FaF(fun AS fuck)

> Great effects
> Top tier women
> Arguably the best looking/designed werewolves ever put to film
> Really fun

Was pretty good

>Universal had an opportunity to design a cinematic monsterkinoverse centered around Van Helsing
>opted to make lazy CGI cash grabs like Dracula: Untold and The Mummy reboot instead
Universal Monsters deserved better than this. You'd think they would've wanted to put a lot more effort into reclaiming the "shared movie universe" gimmick they basically invented.

Was she typecasted? wtf

Underrated.

its like Jonah hex but good

Had a pretty damn good Dracula and I liked the ending a lot.

amazing, its cliche but it has great designs and a pretty good plot.
i also really like the dracula performance, as well as his constant shifting between human and vampire form.
faramir was a nice addition to the cast too.

universal is still making the shared monster universe with the new mummy

Underrated, cheesy yet awesome.

Also basically the best Castlevania movie ever made. I would pay for Richard Roxburgh to say "WHAT IS A MAN?! A MISERABLE LITTLE PILE OF SECRETS!".

Also had one of Alan Silvestri's best soundtracks.

>On par with The Mummy

I like you.
