Me

Yo yo yo nigga yo money weed yo uh yo yo yo

Wheres my millions?

Tupac took rap to its logical conclusion.
Everything after him is just derivative ephemera.
Rap for all intents and purposes died with him.

Nas desu.

You've said too many words for the youngens to keep up, cut it down to two and you have a record deal.

Some contenders and their best albums:
Common (Resurrection, Be, Like Water For Chocolate)
MF DOOM (Take Me To Your Leader, Madvillainy)
Jay Z (Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint, Black Album, American Gangster)
Isaiah Rashad (The Suns Tirade)
Danny Brown (XXX, Atrocity Exhibition)
Q Tip (Midnight Marauders, The Low End Theory)

I'd say Kendrick but half of Sup Forums would behead me.

Fuck no

Not 2pac, that's for sure

Duke Bootee for making The Message. Rakim for introducing more advanced rhyme schemes. Chuck D for being the most important voice in hiphop. Eminem for making Revival.

Big pun and rakim>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

rakim

I almost forgot: Big Pun for being the fattest latino fuck and dying.

mozart

>Jay Z
Jay Z is literally dad jokes: the rapper.
He's good but not even close to being the greatest.

DOOM's gotta be up there fr

He's more like Teenager jokes: the rapper.

...

I mostly added him for Reasonable Doubt. One of my favorite Rap albums.

kanye obviously

2Pac is fucking overrated garbage

Biggie GOAT
It's just true

>Pop Duke left Mom Duke, the faggot took the back way
>So instead of making hoes suck my dick up
I used to do stick-ups, cause hoes is irritating like the hiccups
>Excuse me, flows just grow through me

Embarrassing.

*for all intensive purpouses

you stupid niggas forgetting bout my boy Eazy Duz It

gucci mane
kendrick lamar is good too

Biggie is the greatest
Danny Brown is a close second for me

unironically this

Redman is up there aswell

There is no single greatest rapper of all time. There are the greatest at different things:

MF DOOM: Greatest at wordplay and smart lyricism

Kendrick Lamar: Great storyteller

Killer Mike: The master of flow

Biggie: The greatest all rounder

actaully one of my favorites but not the best

Nobody mentioned in this thread even comes close to the amount of talent pic-related has.

>can make basically any genre of music
>genius songwriting
>out of this world production and makes all of it himself
>is genuinely experimental
>not afraid to get personal or intimate

No Viper? I am disappoint.

Yeah 2pac was good, but he about 2/3 the greatness of 3pac...

He has the best discography so he the GOAT

This. He might not be the best rapper, but he the greatest hip hop artist of all time

Unironically this. He's not the best rapper but he makes the best songs/albums so it puts him ahead of all these other faggots.

You have to be a good rapper to be the best rapper

Jay-Z based on output

Fuck no, I respect Pac but his party rap is not GOAT
I mean... Illmatic is grand, but does he really have anything else?
As much as I love the dude I'm pretty sure he is not GOAT. His rapping is not the most interesting part of his music tbhdesu.
Could potentially agree
Yeah, I feel you on this one.
Truth.

Tupac or Big L from the dead ones, DOOM or Eminem from the living.

Kanye is the best hip-hop producer and song writer. He ain't the best rapper though, not even close. He is definitely one of hip hops greatest artists (top 5 I'd say)

the GOAT aged like fine wine and never fell off. RIP

...

Inspecta deck

Top 5 DOA

Biggie
Nas
Big Pun
Jay-Z
Ghostface Killah

shit question, try again

>Isaiah Rashad
>Danny Brown

boi

Tru RIP

This

Depends on what you mean... If we're talking who was the best at their peak.. I'd say Nas or Edan.. If we're talking about their overall body of work, that's tough.

Outkast, kendrick and DOOM would be my top 3. Kanye is somewhere close behind.

Will Smith

Nothing wrong with either of those.

I'd say AMigos

You took the bag fumble it I took it toumble and roumble it

Fred Durst

Legit this totally depends on what qualifies a rapper for being great, tupacs lyricism was poetic, which still to this day he might be classified as the 'best' for that component, on the other hand you might say that his east coast rival had the best free-form flow in his rhymes (biggie), it's just kind of a dumb question because all of "the greatest" rappers of all time have qualities about them that make them unique, Kanye and Dr. Dre are probably up there as top producers but not rappers, does that mean they can't rap? not really. Eminem is actually phenomenal if we're just talking about "rap skill", but what I'm saying that it's pointless to try and quantify "rap skill", i mean I'd say Nas deserves a nomination, but at that point add snoop for the funk, like it will just go on and on, I don't think you can pick 1 greatest rapper of all time, although what you can do is try and figure out the qualities that you enjoy about certain rappers, and then picking your favourite will be based on that style, and you can branch out from there. or have categories for which all your favourite rappers do their thing the best, you'll probably end up with a list of 30 in which even the top 10 will be very interchangable depending on your taste.

Why is Guru not here?
