It was a derby agains their biggest rivals, Flamengo, with a lot of pre-match hype, with the team undergoing a tense political situation (they are currently ruled by a grondona-like figure who screws over the team constantly), and they lost with some possible refball agains them. When the match ended, Vasco players were 200% mad with the Flamengo players, the frustrated supporters joined in and started throwing bombs at the Flamengo players and tried to invade the pitch and the away stands, tore the stadium down and went into huge fights with the police in and out of the stadium (which is literally located in a huge slum)

The STJD (football's supreme court in hueland) has reportedly already asked for a preemptive suspension of their stadium and will definitely give Vasco some kind of sanction (they were already going to be on trial because of incidents on the Vasco-Corinthians game earlier in the season). But Vasco's president, the hue mix between Grondona and Tony Soprano, has said there will be no repercussions, so who knows what the fuck is going to happen.
