>its a Hollywood shows all kind of drugs but not cigarettes because that is too much movie
>it's an user gets upset at degeneracy in movies but also gets upset at the lack of degeneracy in movies
>character uses is addicted to caffeine
>character uses alcohol for recreation
>character feels like floating in the clouds after smoking a joint
This allways bugs me. You see teenagers smoking weed lmao all the time, but not a single cigarette since something like 2006. Cigarettes can add so much to a scene.
>Character drinks beer from a can to show he's a hick.
>Characters always drink red wine
>Characters can have a normal conversation in a nightclub
>charecter walks all the way down the hall to the bathroom instead of using a piss bottle like a civilized adult
How do cigarettes add more to a scene?
>inb4 it makes you look cool
It doesn't
>character is chewing the end of a cigar in every one of his scenes
>character drinks whisky from the bottle and smokes 10 packs a day
>character has a gf
It adds soul and passion.
And it "looks cool"
What's about americans thinking smoking isn't cool anymore?
I'm not American.
It doesn't add anything, name 1 (one) existing scene that would be worse without cigarettes
>MOVIE BEGINS WITH A FAT BONG RIP
Any scene with the smoking man.
I don't see the problem in this.
I don't smoke but there's a lot less dishes to clean
Blade Runner interrogation
>character doesn't struggle with suicidal ideation every moment of their waking life
That's a fucking character who's identity is based around smoking, it doesn't add to the show, it's his fucking identity.
Pick something less retarded
any john wayne movie pilgrim
Its just realistic too
a lot of people smoke, and in movies and shit where you have crowds, are in cities, have a lot of people
and not a single one smokes, it just feels weird and artificial
>ask for example
>get example
>nu uh it doesn't count
Fuck off.
You're a genuine spastic
>character has sex casually
I dont understand why its forbidden to advertise smoking ( an unhealthy life style), but advertising being fat is okey.
dated movies when smoking was more prevalent and adverse health consequences weren't documented as heavily
>It adds soul and passion
you're brainwashed dude; and a massive faggot
Totally breaks my immersion. As if people do this IRL.
This always pisses me off
>dude come do opiate pills with us!
>why are you smoking, it's bad for you!
>older middle age woman character has multiple younger sexy dangerous but mature men drooling over them the entire season
>older single middle age wealthy charismatic white man is obsessed with the old middle age woman and doesn't care about her wrinkled body and slutty past
Are the jews trying to trick me again?
...
>doesn't smoke
>call others faggot
> character doesn't sniff their asshole every 10 seconds
Well, yeah.
Because movies aren't real and studios follow the laws against showing tobacco as positive.
>But weed lmao is shown as positive
Not really. It's usually used to signify a lack of maturity on the part of the stoner. Something one grows out of as part of an arc.
how does smoking add anything to these scenes?
All of that movie thank you for smoking wouldn't make sense
it shows disaffection, maybe disdain, towards Paul
>character doesn't have itchy balls/ass/leggs
>character doesn't cough all the goddamn time
>characters day isn't ruined after he takes a crap in a bathroom other than his home bathroom
how does smoking infer that?
...
Not the same guy, but because it's seen as rude socially.
I get you just want to do the equivalent of saying "but why?" ad infinitum for yous, but come on.
It's upsetting to me how poorly being stoned is portrayed in movies.
>character has hallucinations and does a bunch of cuuhhraaazy antics
Have writers literally never smoked? I would have thought many of them have.
...
>character smokes weed
>does get anxious and paranoid
>character smokes weed
>gets twitchy
thinking of weed as alcohol works pretty well, same laws should apply
i'm not strongly for or against it, but i think the current place weed has is because of politics and lobbyists, not because of the substance itself
this is pretty interesting, my brother got paranoia and anxiety when he smoked yet i've never experienced any of that
>character takes a rip from the bong
>does start seeing the walls crumbling and his fingers bending backwards
I get stuck in my thoughts and I start to lose meaning in everything, especially when I smoke with groups of people. That's why if I ever do it, I usually do it by myself and watch a movie or something.
>DUUUUUUUUDE LOL I'M LIKE SO HIGGHH MAN HAHAHAHA LOL xD 420 BRUH DUDE WEEED LOL HAHAHAHA
