The Cuphead soundtrack was surprisingly enjoyable. Also one of the better games of the year. Chad does it again.

>this thread has made me angry, just on premise alone
If you're genuinely angry because you don't like video game soundtracks, then you've failed as a music connoisseur. Kill yourself.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World The Game!
The whole soundtrack is by Anamanaguchi, it's top notch
>tfw they lost the licence for the game
>tfw you can't even buy it anymore
>PC port never
full playlist for anyone that wants it, god I love this fucking soundtrack
...
This is pretty good imo
>tfw all releases after PC and 360 got cucked out of the original OST
why even bother releasing a version without this soundtrack? honestly
>Okami
What's the point of remaking a soundtrack anyway? I never got that. Cave Story and Binding of Isaac got the same treatment where the new soundtrack for the commercial release was inferior.

well in the case of meat boy it was bad blood between the devs and the composer, and apparently the devs didn't include rereleases in the original contract so the composer gave them the middle finger
That makes sense. Thanks, I didn't know that.

Bryan Lee O'Malley said last year that his #1 goal is to get the game rereleased, so it could happen

I will never not shill this one. I'd love to be in a band doing something even vaguely like it.

Absolute fantastic, 11/10, best soundtrack of all time, yet to be surpassed by any game or album for that matter.

Good to play in the background of D&D campaigns

Yes!
Try naming a better soundtrack. Try.
Why is no one talking about SILENT HILL 2 or FINAL FANTASY 6? I'm starting to think y'all are Normies. (I got mad respect for the Hotline Miami mentions. El Huervo, Jasper Byrne, and Perturbator are some of my favorite electronic musicians)
I'M STIIILLL IN A DDRRREEAAAAAAMMMM
SNAKE EATEERRRRR

I'm fucking embarrassed by you and everyone in this thread for failing to post pic related yet

SNAKE EATERRRR
Even when I was 12 and liked Minecraft the first thing I did was turn the music off.
even PaRappa 2 has a better soundtrack

Better than the new John Williams scores. Come at me!!!
joy division, animal collective, pixies...
Digital Devil Saga, and Nocturne were one of the few games that I actually made sure to get the soundtracks for out of pure adoration for the music.
I love most of their tracks, I also adore a lot of Silent Hill's music, even the dark ambient stuff.
Sonic the Hedgehog is pure nostalgia fodder for me, Bubsy is the same way.
Nier Automata has a few absolutely breathtaking songs that I just have to listen to on repeat.
Castlevania SOTN is another one.
Katamari Damacy.
I can just keep on going, there is always a certain song I can find that I just find myself playing on repeat.
youtube.com
This is a perfect example, I would listen to it on repeat, it was even my ringtone, I couldn't figure out a way to download it because no one had it so I just recorded it as well as I could on my phone for solidarity.
Mind you, I was a young user back then, so I was desperate.
Actually you're right.
>likes sam hyde
>rags on people for liking video game soundtracks
combat music is pretty generic but I'll always love the music in this game
Nobody has posted Doom yet?
>Cuphead
in my opinion there is one mayor sin it committed with it's OST, that is, take the most boring versions of each song. Prime example: Floral Fury. Like many of the songs it escalates as the fight progresses, which is a major source of it's charm and impact. Omitting the over versions even in the digital release was a major disappointment.
>thief
MY MAN
actual top-tier dark ambient right there, the entire soundtrack just exudes this feeling of "you're not fucking supposed to be here". Something the new game sorely lacked, among many other things.
Oddworld Abes Exoddus

yes, thank you for reminding me

Damn shame Alex Brandon doesn't do soundtrack work anymore, any OST he touched turned to gold.
