>he thinks it happened during christmas

What?

Gremlins is the only Christmas movie that matters.

you know there's an archive right

I want Christmas movies that end horribly for the main characters. I fucking hate Christmas.

Black Christmas kind of movies.

Correct.

krampus

Brazil is technically during Christmas, but it's mostly their as a background for anti-consumerism visuals.

Doesn't that have a happy ending though?

not a single character says anything about it being christmas time in the film

same, Id love to see a movie about the bad shit that happens during the holidays
used to know a girl who was a nurse and she said that suicides and bad shit happening in christmas arent exaggerated, theres a reason you see those helpline commercials popup and other shit like that come holiday season

>I pretend to be retarded on Sup Forums

Tokyo Godfathers is a non traditional Christmas movie.

Iron Man 3
Tokyo Godfathers

I didn't even see the thread and I managed to find it in under a minute
archive.4plebs.org/tv/thread/76991560/

but its true

all those christmas decorations but not a single character says anything about the holidays

It's called showing not telling

Hardware (1990) takes place during Christmas.

see

stop replying to him, he's obviously an autist

what would your ideal 'nontraditional' christmas movie look like anons?
for me:
>santa elves are real
>something mythological, horror
>insert great dialogue and action here
>unity and love conquers all sans the sappiness
>debauchery and death everywhere
>nobody wins
>end with fade out to a newborn's cries
something like that

top comfy too

Home Alone?

Yes this is great! I'm organizing a christmas movies playlist to have something to watch at the living room. Playing from around the noon till 6pm before going to party, thinking about putting Tokyo Godfathers on definitely.

Estranged family members forced to come together due to some series of circumstances that doesn't involve the holiday itself and then not fully reconciling.

Enemy of the State
IronMan 3
Gremlins

Anything that takes place during the holiday but doesn't explicitly celebrate it.

Fuck off

Sounds like A Christmas Tale (2008)

It also works for this thread

Do you often put up Christmas decorations in the middle of June?

lol not really

This, I guess.

>no christmas music
>not a single mention of it being christmas in the entire film

I was in that thread, nobody responded but me so you didn't miss anything.

I'm going to recommend Friday After Next again. it's a comfy comedy.

They literally go out to buy Christmas presents for the little girl

Love Actually has excellent rewatch value

Love that shit but watched it so many times it doesnt make sense to me anymore

2046
Batman Returns
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
The Ref
Lethal Weapon

Gremlins is the best Christmas movie though, just watch that.

Do you really need to have somebody literally tell you "this story takes place during Christmas"? Is seeing a fucking decorated Christmas tree and snow on the ground outside not enough for you?

Not related, but i usually watch harold & kumar go to the white castle (not the christmas one) on christmas when my family is taking a nap

Where Eagles Dare has Christmasy vibes, if only for the setting. Anyone know about Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence?

>Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence
I've never seen it but I love the music from it.

it's a decent film.
