Everyone responded to pro-cruz/anti-trump stuff with sarcastic cruzmissile posting, and it became impossible for actual shills to gain a foothold.

Same thing happened with hillaryposting after Trump became the presumed nominee. Just like with cruz, Sup Forums effectively immunized itself from future hillary shillposting by making obvious hillary shitposts sooner rather than later. None of this is choreographed, but it's what ends up happening. And it's brilliant.

Sup Forums was the spiritual predecessor to /new/ and Sup Forums. Same group of shitlords, although back then our motives were more chaotic and less sharply political. But we are the continuation of Sup Forums. And by that I mean the OLD Sup Forums. Before 2008 and chanology and all that hacktivism cancer.

As we all know, modern Sup Forums is nothing like what it once was. So I guess we should be careful, because it IS somehow possible for a place like Sup Forums (and by extension here on Sup Forums) to become subverted and turned into a shithole.

Of course, it's only ever the board itself that ends up succumbing to cancer like this.
