Don't bother watching inherent vice, absolutely awful movie
Other than that there is some good stuff here my favorites:
Trainspotting
Thin Red Line
Taxi Driver
Ex Machina

Those in red are what I watched already

Inherent Vice is miles better than Trainspotting and Ex Machina

Just watched the trailer for cyberpunk 2077 and want more cyberpunk kino. is blade runner worth it for the setting alone?

Watch Spirited Away fucking immediately.
You absolutely have to do this if I get dubs.

spirited away is pure comfy animekino

...

Pick one for me to watch tonight Sup Forums. Do I watch:

1) muh Surrealist kino
2) muh every frame a painting
3) muh cyberpunk

Inherent Vice made no fucking sense. You have to be high af to be able to understand some of the plot

neon demon is a meme film, don't bother

Also the characters were more enjoyable than Trainspotting and Ex Machina

If you're into cyberpunk yea Blade Runner would be good. I thought it was just okay desu senpai.

...

Just hit me with your best shot, I'm pretty much perfect.

Das Boot

Barry Lyndon, The Thing, Bridge over the River Kwai are kino

Glenngary Glenn Ross/Wolf of Wall Street = businesskino/motivationkino

When harry met sally = god tier romancekino

Lawrence of arabia = cinematographykino

Not on this board, I don't think so.

I go to the cinema when it's empty to watch kino, though. And sometime buy blu-rays witht eh digital copy free.

started watching the Werckmeister Harmonies last night but was too tired so had to stop. I'll restart it/watch it this evening I think

I do, it's just a fucking pain in the ass sometimes to travel 90 minutes to get to the cinema and watch a 2hr long movie and then another 90 minutes to get home.

Taxi Driver is great.
I turn it on if I see it on TV and watch for a while, every bit is great.
Don't disregard Inherent Vice, it is also Great.
People say it doesn't make sense. They weren't paying attention.
I could also watch any scene from it at any time. Great unconventional story telling, very funny and very goofy, but still manages to seem serious.

I can't afford to buy movies. I would if I could. I go to the cinema a few times a year.

I'm probably late OP but Upstream Color is one of my favorites.

I really enjoyed the New World. It's less abstract than what Malick has done since ToL, but that was quite refreshing. Lots of incredibly beautiful scenes. And the performance of Pocahontas was very good.
Reminded me that Clouds of Sils Maria is on my watchlist
Watch Bicycle Thieves
8 1/2
Barry Lyndon
Seventh Seal
Ben Hur
Winter Light
Amacord is weird and not Fellini's best, but worth watching at least once

maybe watch it again and actually pay attention.

Are these YIFYs?

...

>2016

>not using some sort of media server software

Come and See
Miracle Mile
Polytechnique
Snowtown
Lake Mungo
Last Shift
Train to Busan
Triangle
When The Wind Blows

Alot of it is

anyone else get stressed out they add more films to their backlog more than watch them?

are you black?

someone better fucking comment on my picture NOW

Yes

I usually spend a whole week finishing out backlogs for movies, because I also have backlogs of books, music, and vidya.

backlogs are neverending, youll just say oh ill just watch one more movies today, see my backlog is shrinking, im almost done, soon i can go do something actually productive, just one more movie. and then when youre almost at the end of your backlog you remember a hundred more movies you should download. what a waste of time.

Tough choice between Tokyo Story or Mulholland Drive. Grand Budapest Hotel is also very good.

Marketa Lazarova has some amazing shots

Bicycle Thieves is probably my favourite from the list there. I recommend, Wild Strawberries is also good.

Paths of Glory
I was actually planning on watching both L'Avventura and The Lives of Others tonight but if you've got any other suggestions I'm pretty open.

coon sellout

...

500Gbs categorized by genre and country, not going to screencap all that

Videodrome is great.
