Is Dune actually worth reading? My dad says the first book is fantastic, and the rest of the series is bad.
He probably had a hard-on for Paul and the whole "boy becomes an adult and hero" shtick and couldn't deal with more complex ideas presented in future books. I was the same when I read the books as a teenager, dropped the second one almost immediately. Now I'm revisiting it and it's great, I just was an idiot back then.
i read all of em up to chapterhouse where the author died
i liked them all and pretty butthurt the shit will never be finished
>He probably had a hard-on for Paul
Funny, I'm called Paul...
I don't know anything about the books. I went to see Blu Velvet recently and he told me about how Lynch ruined the film or something
Original Dune books are fantastic.Just don't read any of the stuff his son wrote.
the second book flips the messiah chosen one on its head thats what the user probably meant by your dad not liking it
just make a spinoff with mads as halleck
I didnt like the first book, so I never bothered with the rest. I hated Paul as a character. From this thread it seems like I should give the following books a shot?
Sean Bean as Duke Leto
Duke Leto is supposed to look Mediterranean
Just slap some spray tan on him
Bean looks too old now. No one in Dune looks older than 40 due to the spice.
Fuck GIGER for taking all his Dune work to Alien.
Too bad Jodorowsky never got his version ready.
Yeah, too bad Jodorowsky sucks.
Try harder
Daddario as Chani
Patrick Stewart as Shaddam
Queen of Cheeseburgers as Irulan
Bean as Stilgar
Daddario is too water fat
alexis bledel as chani
kevin hart as paul
Adam Sandler as Paul
Kevin James as Duke Leto
>projectile-vomit-dog.webm
Lauren Graham as Jessica?
Her water fat is hot
I hated God Emperor first time reading it, on a second read through of the series it was my favourite book.
> Let's cast the greatest sci-fi book in the world
Mmmh, I dont know, maybe Tom Hiddleston could work as R. Daneel Olivaw?
