kek, are you some kind of poorfag? lmao kill yourself

And your gonna buy it like everyone else.

How did (((they))) get away with PPVs? Fucking sneaky. Nobody even complains about it. People just accept being completely ripped off.

Imagine the Superbowl was PPV

Is this confirmed? Link?

>kiwi kuck likes payrolling the most corrupted jewed out sport in the world

>Amerikuck likes living in the most jewed out country in the world

usatoday.com/story/sports/boxing/2017/07/10/floyd-mayweather-conor-mcgregor-pay-per-view-price-set-august-fight/465381001/

>implying boxing fans will be the ones buying this

meant for

The kike sympathiser is misdirecting again. You cant trick me you israeli hook nose

everything is cheaper in america
why are the ppvs like triple the price and never even have undercards or any worth watching

Freedom is literally free here

No. I'm just gonna watch the highlights on YouTube the next day

EPL games like Man Utd vs Arsenal used to be PPV in Canada in 2005

Of course, it's expensive. "Money" Mayweather is broke.

Same price for Pac fight

>being poor
>not going to a bar with friends

DAILY REMINDER:

>Conor will make 100 million dollars

Even if it comes out at $100,000,000, which is doubtful because a lot of that is no doubt coming from back-end points, he have to pay out:

15% to publicist
10-15% to manager
15% to agent
$300-$500,000 for camp, pre-fight medical, travel
and
$126,950 (lump sum; income tax)
PLUS
39.6% of the excess over $444,550 (income tax)

And all of a sudden the $100,000,000 you made shows up as around $14,000,000 in your bank account.

>$14mil

Still awesome money, tho.

I didnt realize that much of the purse is lost to expenses. Is that why Mayweather is in danger of being Wesley Snipes'd?

>people on Sup Forums are actually going to pay for this
>people on Sup Forums are going good to actually take this fight seriously and think it's one of the greatest ever
>people on Sup Forums are too retarded to see that this is just a cash grab, Mayweather will be the winner, McGregor will take the loss for 10s of millions of dollars

Mayweather is a literally illiterate nigger. Like, he can't fucking read and has a poor person's state of mind. It's utterly unsurprising to me that he can make as much money as he makes and still have nothing in his bank account.

no it's because he's a fucking idiot who doesn't know what to do with his money but spend it

>Is there are more pathetic sport than boxing?

Soccer.

But a fight like this raises Conor's profile a lot, so hopefully he parlays that into $$$ endorsement deals. I hope UFC/Reebok allow that.

U JUS A HATER THO LMAO Y U MAD THO ?
MUH DICK THO
MUH CASH MONEY THO

THO THO THO THO THO

Whats the tax like for business? Im pretty sure they dump the money into a company then do the payouts from there

But I'm poor so I don't have friends.

Personally i think this fight isn't gonna do as good as people say. It will not break the ppv record. MMA people are hyping corner so much that they even are hyping his ability to sell tickets. He has done around 1.5 million in events that was must see for MMA. UFC 205 had a stacked card and sold 1.3 million.
Mayweather was always a big ticket seller because people wanted to see him loose and when people had somebody they could root for.
Many casuals don't give a fuck about an irish mma fighter and many don't even really want to see either win.

Meaning avoiding paying taxes like any decent rich person does. Not just overspending.

it's that potato man hype mayweather will win 90% likely

but imagine just imagine the shitstorm if mcgregor wins, mcgoober got two titles even though he didn't defend them once if he beats mayweather he gets this bullshit legacy, in the future it just looks like

"He won two titles in UFC! First one in 8 seconds!, then he beats the undefeated GOAT of boxing!" the irish pride will be strong and no one will remember the Diaz loss

meaning just taking at least some of your money and investing it
dude doesn't even try to be smart

I've never bet on anything, is there any reason not to put my life savings on mayweather

>separate pricing for HD
holy kek they still have to cater to the third world for this shit
boxing plz go

Cant wait for all you fags to ask for streams in the game thread.

>paying 100 dollars to watch some Irish goober get knocked out in the first round

Nah not poor, just not an idiot. Everyone else with half a brain cell is gonna go to a bar and/or a casino and watch it for free

Personally i don't like to bet on low odds. I might bet on Mayweather by KO because it gives a bit more. But compare it to odds giving for real legitimate fights. It's a bit insane. It's almost so crazy i get nervous that it is a fix or something. remember to gamble responsibly.
oddsshark.com/boxing/floyd-mayweather-betting-odds

You're completely wrong. I work in vegas in a book. This fight and the action on it is dwarfing everything. General public never bets shit in advance except Super Bowl but every day i have to listen how conor's gonna win (lol)

No bet is a guarantee but this is as close to a lock as youll see in your life. Wait til closer to fight night and hope the public keeps betting conor at a 15 to 1 ratio to floyd. Floyds odds have already dropped to -600 before being blasted by a few big bets. If you get lucky on timing you could get a fairly ok price.

Or try floyd by ko. Conor cannot last 12 rounds. He will gas out or be knocked out barring Floyd playing around to work the marks.

well i'm certainly not saying it wont sell anything. What i'm saying is that corner will bring the people he would bring to any other mma event and Mayweather isn't bringing all that much really. Boxing fans aren't hyped about anything Mayweather in general.
I could be wrong. Certainly this fight is the purest form of hype ever seen. wwe has more merit than this fight.

It's worth to remember that Floyd doesn't have to knock corner out completly. You could see a towel thrown or the ref stopping it because corner isn't fighting back. I agree he can't go 12 rounds.

Thanks lads
I'm almost thinking about making a trip to Vegas for it, what are the chances everyone stops memeing and the odds go back to like -2000 at the booth?

Nobody orders a pay-per view and watches it all by himself, you get 9 or 10 buddies over, you all chip in for the fights, you all chip in for the snacks and everybody has a great time

This. And of course they'll be a million streams if you're just looking to watch it on your computer.

>what are the chances everyone stops memeing
That will neve happen

>What i'm saying is that corner will bring the people he would bring to any other mma event
I agree with this. That was what made GSP so valuable to the UFC and why he was able to open up MMA into what it is today - mainly that non-MMA fans and women would watch a GSP fight. That's a valuable marketing opportunity.
Conor is a great athlete and showman and he has a loyal fan base, but they are all MMA fans.

I can see a lot of boxing fans watching because they hope Mayweather will lose too - and with Conor's size advantage they could get their wish.

Conor is the only star the UFC has left; if he loses, the UFC loses.

>mayweather
>knocking him out
lmao

No way he has to give 86 percent
I'd say it's about 50-60

>having 9 or 10 friends

Cost of living is cheaper
Housing is cheaper and not the tiny sardine cans you have
Utilities are much cheaper
Not taxed to death
Only thing you have going for you are worker's rights and the NHS which will all die due to kekxit
Oh and of course the ridiculous benefits system you have that just has people barely working because they can get a free life on gibs over muh feelings
That will also die with kekxit so all of you useless NEETs will disappear from here
BASED

>not having 30-40 good buddies

Do you even socialise ?

>15% to publicist
>10-15% to manager
>15% to agent
You have no idea what their deals could be, and I don't think Conor would give 40-45% here.

>thinking it's possible to have that many 'good buddies' at once
Please tell me more about how you do nothing but do things and speak with these friends. I'm sure you've all been close friends for years too right?

>he doesn't have an advanced network of 100 friends that you schedule and spend many hours of your life maintaining social relationships

lmao floyd praying to god trump puts in his tax cut plan right quick

Well,,,you can say whatever you want, but those are standard percentages, my guy.

It's possible that there's a way to reduce the income tax a little if you're incorporated and you can manage to have the purse paid to your corporation.

But a C-corp structure won't help, and neither will an LLC.
An S-corp structure might, a little - but for it to help your corporation has to pay you a tiny salary and a huge dividend, and the IRS is looking out for this among normal people - a high profile athlete would really be taking a chance if they tried it.
The IRS says “Distributions and other payments by an S corporation to a corporate officer must be treated as wages to the extent the amounts are reasonable compensation for services rendered to the corporation.”

Its a judgement call, but Conor McGregor is not exactly flying under the radar so he'd be in the IRS's sights.
And the tax saving wouldn't be very big, so it wouldn't likely be worth the risk. Especially considering you'd have the IRS fucking you for it, and then shadowing your for the rest of your life.

Either way, you're still paying out that percentage to publicist, manager, agent. Camp, travel, and pre-fight medicals still cost - though with this big publicity tour its going to cost a lot more, as that's on the fighter's dime and you have to pay for a lot of people to accompany you. And then you're paying income tax, however you set it up.

lol
you simply don't have a choice, those are standard industry percentages.

For a 100 bucks I expect a full season of sports, ppv is ridiculous Murricans are really fucking dumb

It's much less risky than any other investment you could make

>have two /literally who/ boxers fight for a huge sum of money to give the impression that it's the boxing match of the century
Why do people fall for this shit?

>literally whos

of all the reasons to criticise the fight, saying they're not famous enough is pretty weord

Imagine paying for this

>39.6% of the excess over $444,550 (income tax

Jaysus, why not just host it somewhere else?

>15% to publicist
>10-15% to manager
>15% to agent
Yeah fuck that shit. The rest I can live with but that is absurd. This is why I respect guys like Derrick Rose, LeBron and Mayweather who have all of that shit taken care of by their own companies or trusted siblings and friends. If Conor is actually pissing away 40-45% of his money on all of these lackeys then he's an idiot.

>everything is cheaper in america
is it though?

houses are cheaper because there's a shitload of land, but besides that

>fresh vegetables are apparently very expensive (not sure about this one desu)
>phone plans are much more expensive
>internet plans are way more expensive
>movie theater cost is way more expensive
>going for drinks is way more expensive (muh tip)
>eating at restaurants is way more expensive (muh tip once again)
not sure about cars or clothes desu

>le businessman canadian strikes again
gb2heem bud and don't post there ever again.

They gradually increased the price. Dana White is on camera saying Anderson Silva vs. Weidman at $60 was a one time thing, but literally every PPV since then has been $60.

>publicist, manager, agent
>hiring 3 different people to do 1 job

>acting like there won't be streams

are you retarded?

besides, a publicist doesn't make 15%, they'll have a monthly income
and an agent doesn't make 15%

What's even funnier is the UFC has a monthly subscription service. You don't even get to watch the PPVs live through it. Not even kidding you almost always only get exclusive access to the shittiest fights of the night.

Because cuck goys.

>one time thing, but literally every PPV since then has been $60.

Yeah, I remember when the (((safety measures))) at airports were (((temporary))) after 9/11 and, not only do we have them still 16 years later, people/goys deny it was ever any different and will actively embrace it. Sad.

The best part of this fight isthat floyd will have to give up a large part of his winnings because he doesn't know what taxes are. and if he doesnt pay his taxes he will be in prison.

SO floyd will be walking away with like 10 million and mcgregor will be walking away with like 100 million.

>besides, a publicist doesn't make 15%, they'll have a monthly income
>and an agent doesn't make 15%
At least you tried.
Let google be your friend.
I'll grant you that it might work the way you describe in Italy . . .but what was described is how it works in the USA, and that's where this is happening.
An American publicist gets a percentage - they might also get a monthly amount, probably against the percentage, but the percentage is standard.
Publicists have a very important job in entertainment (and high-profile sports). You don't know who they are but you wouldn't know the stars without them.

>mcgregor will be walking away with like 100 million

Well...see:

I bet your dad works for mcgregor right? That's why you have all the insight on the managing stuff in his team

publicists do not make 15%. What fucking world of entertainment do you work in?

>tfw you know this will be one sided and boring as fuck
>still will wake up in the middle of the night to watch it

No chance he's dumb enough to get sucked into those ludicrous high fees. That's like a footballer paying % of weekly wages to his team. Nah

conor's marketing team is literally the only reason he is getting this fight
if the publicist is getting anything below 50% he is getting ripped off 2bh

>all those television rights
It does my head in

It will get more buys than every UFC PPV this year combined kek

>thinking this is boxing's fault

This has nothing to do with boxing.

YOU wanted to see this fight. Not boxing. For years boxing people had to listen to MMA/general sports fans ask the same stupid questions. 'Could Ronda Rousey beat Mayweather in a fight?', 'Who would win between Mayweather and McGregor?' over and over. So much so the idea gained traction, McGregor stuck around long enough and you got it in Floyd's head. Mayweather has to show up, beat an absolute novice knowing full well whatever happens has no effect on his future, that +$100 Mill is almost guaranteed, and that's not even a hard sell, people ACTUALLY BELIEVE McGregor can win.

You drive the bus on this one. No one in boxing wanted this (nor most real MMA fans). But because you can barely name any combat athletes other than these two because of your filthy causal ways, here you go, $99.99 + tip, and most of you will buy it like the good goys you are.

What is it about violence within sport that makes people lose their mind? Most of you are rational when picking team sports, but in combat sports you're absolutely retarded.

Your last PM was literally a Jew

I did google it and everything I find says publicists are not paid in percentage. But I might be wrong, give me a source though.

As for the agent and manager, I've read that in the US agents make 10% and no more than 10%, this is the law.
On top of that, I doubt Conor has both a manager and an agent, as thy basically do the same job and it would be a waste of money.

Also, as an independent contractor, his expenses, including management, would be tax-deductible seeing as they are all necessary expenses for him to do his job.

hes_right_you_know.png

Most normal people go to a bar and watch it with their buddies for the cost of a drink, or they all club together and get it for $10 at one of their houses.

100 is nothing for us normal folk

>tfw love boxing AND mma, but dont give a fuck about this retarded fight

the two biggest sets of casuals in each sport will love it though

>Most normal people go to a bar

here in the US most bars pull some "$20 entry fee" jew shit on big fights like these

>I know you're a stand up comedian
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

If Floyd beats Conor easily, that's it for him. There's no more big paydays on the horizon. There's no more stupidly expensive tacky 'supercars' or other rapidly depreciating assets for him to buy.

But... what if Conor KOs him with a 'fluky' haymaker? They could have a rematch in 12 months that Floyd could charge $150 on PPV. Look for Floyd to dance around Conor for 4 rounds and look extremely cocky before getting rocked by a big punch and the ref calling a quick stoppage.

The fix is in.

Buffalo Wild Wings doesn't charge a cover. The fee is forcing yourself to eat reheated chicken nuggets dressed up as chicken wings.

>The fix is in.

Very likely. If not for Floyd's ego I'd expect Conor to "win" so there'd be 2 fights, at least.
Floyd wins, it's what everyone expected, no need for another fight...but Conor wins, we need a rematch.

Speaking of rematches...whatever happened to Conor's promise to Aldo that they'd fight again right away?

>he thinks a publicist takes a per fight percentage of fifteen fucking percent

wew

awwwwwww

did he pinky promise?

>there are morons who will lay for this glorified sparring match

Nope.

>Floyd will dance and rack up points
>McGregor will run out of gas by the 6th round
>Nothing will happen most of the fight
>Floyd will win via unanimous decision
>Both guys will laugh at the morons that gave them money for just doing a moderate workout on live tv

Just saved you people $100.

No

Not to mention the UFC is stated to be taking a significant portion. Managers don't work the same in boxing as the UFC.

stream that shit nigga

where 2 cop this hoodie??? it's not on the tmt website

>tfw only boomers and pubs buy PPV

Will jews ever recover? One motherfucker in 1 country can provide a HD stream for the rest of humanity
