Agreed. I only listen to shoegaze these days tbqh. It's chill, introspective and beautifully somber.
I love the aesthetics of it too. Dark, dreamy and at times psychedelic and colorfully abstract.

It's really not, you'll learn that when you OD on it. Shoegaze is like emo or goth, it's best if you do it in small doses and not go overboard with the reverb all the time. And all the effects in the world don't mean shit if you can't write a good song underneath.
