Honestly forgot Depay exists

I heard that Regan Poole is a baller though

>the window isnt even over yet

need to keep it updated

isnt milinkovic savic a beast now? or is that his brother

yes. yes it is

which was the worst buy for the money?

depay? dimaria? pogba?

Seriously, what is the flop rate of these signings? Can someone with a maths degree calculate it?

The ONLY good buy for the money on that entire list was Bailly.

Customer here.

Biggest Flop for money is Di Maria. No question. Second would be Schneiderlin. Third Memphis. Shaw has been a waste of money but still has time to make up for a slow start and injury.

Pogba has been a success so far.

Best bang for buck has been herrera or maybe even fellaini.

Herrera the only good one.

Maybe Bailly

>shaw

They should just buy more players. I mean, statistically, they'll eventually find a good one.

t.ed woodward

Since roughly 1 in 20 of their transfers is good they'd only need to sign 220 players to have a good squad.

>highest league finish: 4th

Really shows how important it is to have a proper manager organizing and planning the squad purchases...

United got fucked by Sir Alex (leaving an old washed up team - yes they won the league but it was thanks to van persie), then by moyes (having no clue what he was doing) and finally by van gaal (buying players to fit a boring and losers style of play).

Thank god we have Jose now.

When does the bubble burst? The money comes from tv but tv is dying. Sky getting desperate have just completely revamped their service. It won't work. They'll continue to lose subscribers. Streams are only going to get better and easier to find. Can't see it lasting another 10 years

>Thank god we have Jose now.
>£200m spent on trash
>finished 6th
>scored less than Bournemouth

THANK GOD!

his signings saved the year and won us a few trophies (including Europa).

4 more quality signings this summer and we almost have a proper team again.

so yes. Thank god for Jose.

>Just sign more players!!
I wonder who could be behind this post.

>tv is dying
But tv sports aren't. Premier League keeps getting bigger and bigger with more and more customers.

You're telling me that TV exists for anything other than sports these days?

99% of the non-sports content is shitty reality tv.

What, dude?

TV is dying because people stream TV shows. I don't know how you take that to mean sports viewings figures are going down.

>TV is dying because people stream TV shows.

No, TV is dying because they stopped actually making good content because they discovered they can shit out any old cheap reality tv show that doesn't require actors/writers/producers just random people behaving outrageously and edit the shit out of it and get millions in ratings.

Meanwhile all the good shows are slowly moving to netflix because nobody wants to pay for 20 channels of real houswives, food porn cookingshows of whatever and mythbusters clones with 3 people and explosives.

Sky and ESPN are losing thousands of subscribers every month. ESPN are locked into MASSIVE rights deals for the next decade. 7 billion spent on college football alone.

Sky were cucked by BT who massively overpaid for rights and are not covering their costs with subscriptions.

The situation is beyond repair. They can't increase prices because then even more people will cancel.

The only solution is specific subscription services. You want to watch PL? OK pay 20 per month and you can watch every single game. Currently you have to pay 30 to Sky and 30 to BT but still you don't even get every game. But hey, you get cricket and darts to make up for it!

The bubble will burst. I'm sure of it.

They can literally make back all their rights money immediately if they uncouple their Football content from the other shit that nobody watches.
The problem is that they're so used to getting paid for garbage content and having 3 channels worth of absolute rubbish nobody watches 90% of the time.

Gotta have that lumberjack games and robot wars.

>hating on robot wars

never talk to me or my Sup Forums board again

No, it's dying because of Netflix having a better model.

I know that you'll watch it when it's on but nobody fucking wants to pay for that shit.

>Netflix have a better model
Netflix have this smart idea of having 15-20% good content and lots filler garbage and being cheap enough that nobody bothers cancelling despite having nothing to watch.

Basically the same thing that cable has been doing except they're not interested in screwing you with 3 year contracts with 20 channels you didn't ask for and youtube tier one man production reality tv content.

This is what Sky are trying but it wont work because they only have half the games. It's still terrible value. Streamers gonna stream.

thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3984647/sky-sports-premier-league-channel-cheaper-subscriptions/

Netflix is better because you can watch when you want. That's why it's killing TV. No-one wants to have to watch something at a certain time. Except when it comes to sports. Then everyone wants to watch it when it's live (and not so much after).

Di Maria and Shaw

remember Shaw did fuck all

It's a start, they just need to adjust their prices.

TV was dying long before Netflix got big.

Because of downloading. It's not the content, it's the way it's consumed.

TV started dying the moment tv shows like survivor and amazing race were doing well and squeezing out dramas out of prime time TV slots. Low production budgets and great ratings, every fucking station started squeezing that shit out, singing shows, tv talent shows, etc etc. No need to pay for talent, just get average joe down the street and talk a lot about it on the internet. People will watch garbage if you outrage/shock them enough.

stop grand meme lord

Pogba was good because despite his price tag it brought a high profile player that is young and decent to the team. Herrera has lived up to his price tag. Lukaku is yet to be seen but in today's market it's not bad for his production thus far; and he is still very young. Bailly has proven to be a solid CB. Mata was a decent pick up. Lindelof is a decent player and could be a steal in this market.

Really the bad stuff came when Moyes and LVG took over minus those few mentioned. They couldn't attract huge names because they were shit and the ones they did bring in where mismanaged.

There is more good tv on now than ever before. You think they had wall to wall good tv shows in the 80s and 90s? There's always been shitty. Now there is more shit and more good stuff.

>It's not the content, it's the way it's consumed.

This

>Now there is more shit and more good stuff
On free-to-air network TV it's basically all garbage and shit.
The good content has moved onto paid platforms.
