Oddments

You don't. You listen to Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall and Uranium Club instead for your modern garage rock fix.

>Ty Segall actually T Rex polished over and over
>OCS actually every trope in punk influenced garage over and over
nice try babby

King Gizz are just Oh Sees with le epic prog gimmick

No, it's a different sound completely.
They might've taken some inspiration on their first release and the way they present themselves on stage,
but anything past the debut album is nothing like Thee Oh Sees

I love gizzard but this isnt true. Even the band tehmselves have said they are heavily influenced by john dwyer. I don't think Dwyer minds either considering castleface presses their US releases.

I love both bands too. Though saying King Gizz is just Oh Sees with a twist, I don't agree with.
Yes, there's inspiration, and I think that inspiration was more prominent in the earlier releases.
Though Stu's inspiration of John Dwyers stage presence is definitely large.
I just don't think they're a carbon copy, as some people imply.
