Hey vro's I am 90% done with this song and I need some more ears to give me more advice.
specifically is the track too murky to be enjoyable? Does the track get too whirly and disorientating at it's climax is my voice a nice timbre? does it sound cheesy at all
soundcloud.com/ilovetang >Dream pop, power pop, alternative Live album finally out! Debuts 3 new original tracks from us! Vocals need to go up a bit, instrumentals sound fine but if you're going to make your vocals spacey you need to raise them to make them mesh in better and not feel crowded out by the instrumentals. Otherwise i like it, followed! recs digging your new track, love the soft fuzz on the lead guitar.
Hunter Clark
>soundcloud.com/ilovetang OHHHH VERY VERY NICE! its pretty rare to find a decent band on here! props to you! love the vocals and guitar work!!
>polished.bandcamp.com/album/plastic-perfection good mixing and technical work! not a huge fan of the melodies, but i can see where youre going with it and there are people out there that are definitely into this style keep it up!!
this is so chill i love it the instrumentation and songwriting here is fantastic, for mixing advice I was about to say the same thing as , who btw sound great, super fun!
>experimental >post-nightcore >plunderphonics >pop >break check out the new youtube tracks
good shit
Jackson Jackson
I love the guitar, vocals and synth work but the drums especially the snare are pretty lifeless. if you want you can email the stems and i'll add some drums?? [email protected]
recs I would turn down the singing saw a little bit, it gets it gets piercing at some points, but it sounds great in your cover of I Love How You Love Me This guy is great
Michael Flores
Here's some (progressive) techno I've created, Melodic Elements mixed with pounding drums. Hope you people enjoy > Techno > Progressive > Melodic > Pounding (but not EDM-like)
In my opinion the high end is too harsh, imho you could try to tame it with light compression and a little eq cut. Also the vocals are not upfront enough in my opinion. You could eq away e.g. the guitar to make space for the vocals. Also a general tip for your genre: don't compress too hard - the dynamics in your track are nice!
Elijah Jenkins
I'd say you need less help mixing, more help engineering. Everything here sounds really roomy and distant and thin, almost as if it's a phone recording. If you've got a microphone I'd suggest placing it closer to your vocals especially.
The whole thing is in mono too, if you pan some things left and right you'll get a lot more dimension out of your mix. There's also a lot of clipping on the saw towards the end, definitely watch for that and lower your input gain a bit.
Nice melody though, the NMH/bob dylan influence is nice.
>liarboy.bandcamp.com/album/not-home its trippy! i like it! it could be mixed a lil more clearly, but i dont think thats what you were going for. i really feel those etherial vibes
the vocals really blew me away. Really good and well mixed. It's good music, but the elliott smith similarities are kind of off-putting to me. Holy fucking shit! This is an incredible collection of music, such a wide range. Dl'd
Good stuff, a lot of feeling in the vocals. It's a pretty interesting sound, I like all the bells and whistles in the production.
Thank you! It's kinda funny, when I put out my first EP when I was 15, a lot of people told me it sounded like Elliott Smith. I had never heard of him at the time, and discovered one of my favorite artists that way. For better or worse, his style and mine align a lot and always have. I take it as a compliment more than anything, so thank you!
I really enjoyed this, you have a really great voice for singing and the production is awesome! This is pretty good. My only criticism is that there isn't enough going on to keep it from feeling repetitive. Some vocals or more a more dynamic song structure may help! Otherwise I definitely enjoyed it.

Forgot to post my link.. Just a random recording of my band playing in the basement, not professionally recorded or anything, but feedback would be welcome!
yooooooooo you featured on my homie vc hearts track i just recognized you ur voice is hype and sad and emo n ur mixing is high tier big love dawg even if i dont really know you
i have no fucking idea what this is but the Layla guitar in the first song made me burst out laughing
there's some interesting stuff here, but the main melody sounds a little too stiff to me. maybe work on improving the textures of your synths? the actual melody is really nice though, and i dig the beat
you have a great ear for samples my man
Oliver Long
forgot my pic whoops
Landon Walker
>stiff what do you mean stiff? Like the way it sounds? Is it too mono and not spread out enough?
might just be a personal preference, but i can never get super into something that sounds obviously MIDI, or obviously piano-rolled. the rhythmic spacey chord that plays after the main melody is awesome though.
Not Bad but dont be afraid to keep the vocals up in the mix, hey i like Have a nice life and loveless as much as the next guy but i like an original vocalist just as much
Ian Carter
oh damn, you got me haha that actually makes it a lot more impressive then, i just must not care for that harpsichord-y synth.
Juan Long
hello peeps!
ive been really active on this board recently as an idm artist, and so now i present you with my debut album: the complete opposite!
>violin and piano >cute little "video game"-esque theme songs >sci-fi movie soundtrack???
this is tight! i like the very broken unsteady vibe. i think maybe it needs a little more mixing here and there? give the drums (particularly the bass drum) a little more oomph over the very trebly spacey synths. maybe throw some side chain compression in there.
This is just fantastic Absolutely downloading this
Kevin Gutierrez
thanks guys for listening
I understand about the vocals :) I'm pretty self concious of my singing I guess I subconsciously put it lower in the mix. My newer stuff is a lot cleaner and more upbeat
soundcloud.com/official_contingent >sampling and sound-design's lovechild >mix of all sorts of genres, mainly beat based I just kinda love tsuruda and flylo way way a lot
I was doin stuff with my friends Now I'm back Why are you being so sour? Never was a fan of emo trap stuff, but I dig this beat. The flow goes with the it well but I'd still like it to be more confident.
You've got really clean production, good drums. I'm just put off by *how* clean it is. It's kinda got that preset synth style to it. I don't mean to hate. Keep doin your thing.
I said it in a previous thread, but I'd totally buy an album of this stuff. Super well done production.
Kinda the same thing with , but it's went the opposite direction. Super distorted. I really like the Everything Black remix though.
I love the instrumentation, kinda reminds me of a messier Bob Dylan. The vocals could be raised in the mix though, either in post or with a separate microphone.
Will continue in a sec
Aiden Wood
Very ethereal. Reminds me of some PS1 OSTs. I don't know if they're all hits, but I like the general vibe. Favorite one is Neural Transmission.
It's a bit bass heavy, but damn the Black remix is good. Really like the vocal chops and the bitcrushed growls. Sounds like an early Eptic tune.
Eerie. Not my style, doesn't mean it isn't interesting though.
Very heavy Jordaan Mason vibes. Props to the horn players in particular. Also props for just like having a djembe
Noise isn't my thing, I'm not gonna pretend like it is. That being said, I really like barbed wire crown. It's got these really nice synth layers stretched over the whole song. This is some quality drone.
Strikes the perfect balance of like, joyous and melancholy tones. I'm gonna have to come back to this one. Is this your first release?
Some feedback on some of the hip hop posts Unique as hell mate. healthier sample is crazy The melodies are nice. Work on mixing drums a bit to make them hit harder and your tracks will be great. Nice vibes on this. Sounds very professional and clear. Wow that beat drop was something else. Awesome use of percussion and drums. Very well done
Michael King
Thank you so much! I've put out a lot of material but got tired of all of it, so I wanted to start fresh again. A few of the older records from high school are still up at this label's site: 4fctrl.bandcamp.com/

Did you delete the last batch of beats you had? man Seriously one of the best beat makers in these threads. Crazy sound design. If you dig like, Flylo or Tsuruda, peep his stuff
Damn, you pump these out fast. Lookin forward to the new tape though. Dunno how I missed out on your catalog for so long.
Seriously great. I rec'd this guy last thread and it's staying that way.
>also new music tomorrow dope
Reccin. Don't have anything past that, they're just good at what they do.
boi this EP is gold Whole thing gives me BROCKHAMPTON vibes, super clean. Lookin forward to more
