Trolling aside. What is in your humble opinion the WORST movie you've seen in the theater. You have to explain why, no simple bashing.

For me it's Transformers: Age Of extinction. A movie that had to replace shia with an even more generic actor. Seeing Kelsey Grammers post-alcoholic body trying to manouvre himself out of frame in each shot was disgusting. Had to sit it out with my nephew. No plot whatsoever.

The Warcraft movie. It was just terrible in every way. Convoluted confusing plot, flat, boring characters with illogical motivation. Uncanny valley CGI.
It was just fanservice for Warcraft fans. It was like watching your friend jerk off.

Can't remember any truly terrible movies that I've gone to see, but recently I've found the latest Jason Bourne movie and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back to be incredibly boring.

>Transformers: Age Of extinction

Fuck off. Baykino is a visual art form of pure action and visual effects

It's like going to an artistic fireworks display and bitching about the plot.

There's a reason why other filmmakers study Micheal Bay's technique

nofilmschool.com/2014/07/michael-bay-bayhem-visual-storytelling

You've just shown how pleb you really are

crying baby
batman vs superman
had to piss

I walked out of The Last Airbender, but I genuinely hated Dinner for Schmucks, so probably one of those two

t. Underage faggot

Oh, or maybe actually that one where Paul Rudd plays a dudeweedlmao and I'm supposed to believe that he's the one who's got it all put together

Yeah it's cool for kids who are impressed easily by flashing lights and bangs.

Independence Day: Resurgence

my buddy actually asked if i wanted to leave halfway through

Guardians if the galaxy

the story was retarded and the "humor" revolved around quips

i walked out

I judge movies pretty good before I go see them so haven't had many bad experiences.

Antz was FUCKING terrible. Never had a more boring time watching a movie in theaters. Movie sucks shit compared to A Bugs Life. Had maybe two sensible chuckles the whole film.

Revenge of the fallen or dark side of the moon

korinefag lmao

Easily Arrival

>two mysteries dominate movie: why are aliens here and what happens to this woman's kid & marriage
>reason alien is here is revealed and makes no fucking sense
>decisions leading to woman's divorce and child's death make no fucking sense

It doesn't matter how well done a mystery is if the solution to the mystery is crap.

Chinamen detected

Lady In The Water
Shimadinger is a hack.

How didn't it make sense? You're probably just retarded.

It's not that I didn't understand it, it's just that it's stupid. See you're the target audience: people who think they're intelligent, but aren't.

>Aliens: we need to borrow a weapon of some kind in 3000 years.
>Well, see ya!

>You: that makes perfect sense to me for I am a very intelligent movie watcher!

Million Dollar Baby

I was around 6 at the time, so can you blame me?

You sound like you didn't get it

>itt people saying movies they think are bad
If this is the worst that you all have seen in theaters, you don't go to the theaters often or watch bad movies.

I saw Meet the Spartans in theaters, easily the worst

Spiderman 3. I was in high school, three of us went and ended up sitting behind three other buddies from school.

We were laughing and making fun of the movie so bad that an usher came to give us shit, but ended up bitching at our friends in front of us. Those three were already so mad at how shitty the movie was that they just ended up saying fuck it, got up and left.

Did them a favor, tbqh.

You could explain it to me then Einstein if you could break away from your research in quantum theory or whatever

Tell me how you travel that far in that many ships to deliver one message which is that in 3000 years you need them to fire a weapon. Explain to me how that makes more sense than 1000 other more plausible ways to communicate such a short message and make it more useful.

I really do not have high standards for movies. I'm not a "CINEPHILE", film major, nothing...I just kind of enjoy talking about them which is why I come here sometimes.

The only time I've ever walked out of a movie theatre was Miami Vice (2006). It was fucking boring, the dialogue was horrendous, the action, just everything; the time I was continuing to invest was just not worth the ticket price.

It wasn't actively ultra bad, it's not like it was "The Room" bad, it just didn't do a single goddamn thing to engage me at any point; even the badness wasn't engaging.

Eagle Eye starring Shia LeBeouf

Suicide Squad was pretty boring.

Tell me seriously, has belligerently demanding answers ever gotten you a good response on this board?

Worst recent movie would have to be Need For Speed. I knew it was going to be bad, but I didn't think it would be unwatchable. And why the fuck was it so long? Me, my friend and my brother sat around at home for like three hours afterwards discussing the worst parts. We still quote the "My... Eyes... Are... Bluer... Than yours..." scene.

Yes actually multiple people have attempted to explain it in multiple threads and all failed. There is no logical explanation, the film makes no sense. You're just mad because you know I'm right and it's a stupid film.

From what I understood the "weapon" was referring to the alien language (some meaning was probably lost in translation - e.g. they might have meant "tool" as Amy Adams suggested). By learning that language (everyone learning it), humans would perceive time in the same way as the aliens (i.e. there is not time), which does seem a bit far-fetched to me. Humanity would probably need this skill to help the aliens in 3000 years, which is why they needed to teach the humans the language. What actually happens in 3000 years isn't revealed. A lot of the plot, and potential confusion surrounding it, comes from the difficulty and issues that arose in communication.

>All these relatively recent movies

So many fucking children in this thread.

For me it would probably have to be Highlander 2.

its not good to be old and be here

you tried to get one over on us but you actually buried yourself below us

Probably Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I. It managed to be even more boring than the book.

Easily the worst. I don't know how this got made or how it had that much of a budget yet managed to squander every cent for the sake of nonsense. I fell asleep watching it in theaters.

Batman v Superman was the first time I have almost fallen asleep during a movie. And I have NEVER fallen asleep outside of a bed in my life.

Force Awakens was the first movie I have desired to walk out on.

probably the Omen remake not because it was particularly bad it was just boring

Fuck off kid, just because you are a waste of oxygen; doesn't mean everyone who uses this site is.

>everyone who uses this site is.

thats something you gotta accept when you come through the door dude

living in denial is no good either, maybe you should gb2r.

idk it was about 5 kangaroos fighting shredder for elemental stones or some shit. IDK i was only like 13.

If a movie sucks, it sucks. To say what's the worst of the worst is like categorizing different pieces of shit.

I don't go to the movies very much, but I definitely thought Hostel 2 was shit.

>I've been posting on Sup Forums since 2012
>I totally understand this place, believe me

Do us all a favour and end yourself already, faggot.

Probably Shutter Island. Shit was boring as fuck. I don't normally go and see things unless I'm really hype. And Shutter Island let me down the most.

I saw pic related a few days after Christmas 2011. Shit was so god damn slow and uninteresting. I asked my two buddies if they wanted to leave halfway through the film.

Rat Race. It wasn't funny.

For me it would have to be a tie between juno and the phantom menace.

AoTC

>You have to explain why

I really think this one is self explanatory. First movie I ever remember seeing in theaters and thinking it was boring.

88 minutes with Al Pacino. Horrible movie.

Hoodwinked
Went in for the laughs and animation kino starring Anne Hathaway
Left with a bitter taste in my mouth, this piece of shit makes Sir Bili look like lord of the rings

I Love You, Man?

>It was like watching your friend jerk off.
You got firsthand experience with that?

Antz was great you retard

On the top of my head, Avengers always comes to mind.

An invasion of NYC where not a single person is harmed, and tons of quips and general capefaggotry.

Haven't seen a single capeshit flick since then.

My then best friend and I went to see this because we both loved and grew up with the cartoon, hoping it would be good despite the strange trailer and reception it got. Was uncomfortable throughout the whole thing and when it finished I ended up saying "what the fuck?!" out loud and discussing how shit it was after.

Everyone here has seen OK films at best compared to me

>Hanging with plebs
>"Hey user we're going to the cinema wanna join?"
>"Sure why not"
It was only as I was at the cinema I was notified we were watching "LOL", starring Miley Cyrus

After the movie they said I was visibly furious

utter pleb

Mine was pic related easily. A complete mess.

The original was decent for a low effort summer comedy, so I had hopes for this. I was wrong.

>Bewitched (2005)
Back in the Will Ferrell meme days. I just remember it was boring as hell

>X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
Last super hero movie I've watched

this shit

It's objectively worse to be young and be here. This is an old persons website, why the fuck are you wasting your youth here?

In time

Hail caeser. The story was boring, comedy was boring and they had random stars like jonah hill, scarlet johanson and channing tatum thrown in to bait people into seeing it. It writing/comedy wasnt even smart just marvel tier shite

Dragon Wars. My dad beat me afterwards for suggesting we watch it with the family.

Pic related or Jurassic World. I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can enjoy either.

...

I actually did fall asleep, woke up right before the bomb part

This piece o'shite here.

Just had nothing to offer in my book. Just shoving as much irreverance and "style" into a substanceless film does not work.

Granted I was a teenage boy when my gf at the time made me see it, but to this day I remain disappointed it didnt end with a guillotine.

I never saw Age of Exintion but Revenge of the Fallen is by far and away the worst film I have ever seen.

If I hadn't been there with a friend I'd have walked out and demanded a refund at this point:

youtu.be/aLlhKRhcL64

I saw Fant4stic in theaters because I am not a very smart man

>Revenge of the Fallen

These. Pearl Harbor and Badboys2 made me avoid Bay movies like the plague, but I read a transformers fan review and it said that Jetfire and Optimus combine. I had nostalgic feelings for Transformers: Armada so I went to see it like an idiot.

Watching Bay butcher Optimus Prime's heroic character wasnt exactly fun either.

I've watched bad shit like Herbie: Fully Loaded and Spider-Man 3 as a kid, but at least shit was fun. The worst experience was definitely Into the Woods. Got in the room without knowing it was a musical (I don't know Broadway and this was a shitty one at that) and it was literal shit

Five Wallpapers Per Second

Soppy unrealistic melodramatic wank that only weebs with zero relationship experience could ever appreciate.

Also ends on a montage set to Jap folk music so utterly cringeworthy that the anime historian who introduced the film at the screening had to apologize for it

>By learning that language (everyone learning it), humans would perceive time in the same way as the aliens (i.e. there is not time),
Sapir-Whorf nonsense

Probably The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, though I was there with a girl and the theater was empty so I made it work.

It just felt like a really bland and boring movie at the time, and I remember the CGI even then looking quite awful.

I went to see Matrix: Revolution for some reason. Left the cinema sad. The Matrix was a big part of my childhood and to see the sequel miss the mark the second time was disheartening.

I rarely go to the cinema and when I go, it's usually because my friends are inviting me and that I'm assured the movie should be somewhat good. It happened numerous times that I flatted out refused to go to a movie because I thought the movie would be bad and that I had no interest in spending money on it. My friend asked me to come watch Lights Out with him. I never heard of the movie but I went anyway after I saw it had good reviews on the internet.

The movie is fucking bad. Not offensively or insultingly bad but it is so dry and boring. It's the first time I ever slept during a movie. I eventually started browsing facebook on my phone (I was at the far back so I wasn't disturbing anyone with my light) during a good portion of the movie. The most entertaining part of the movie was when my friend threw an empty bag of candy on my other friend's head and we were all containing ourselves from laughing.

So yeah, that was my shitty story. Fuck Lights Out and all these shitty horror movies tough.

Fantastic Beasts.

Before that TFA

Before that probably Endless Love (I was manipulated by a girl it wasn't my choice)

Funny games US
Walked right out of the theater with my wife along with some 10 other people.

Stupid cunt

It's a shame, Pain And Gain was pretty good in a weird way. Bay's trashy sensibilities suited the material perfectly.

micheal is great at what he does but that's not enough to make the movie less shit you massive retarded cunt. a movie is more than camerawork.

Maybe Spider Man 3, although that was a time when I didn't see movies very often, so I probably enjoyed it more than I should have.

In terms of actual negative visceral reaction in the theater and afterwards, it's either Thor: The Dark World or The Fifth Estate. Both were long, overly dramatic, and boring.

I didn't see TFA in a theatre but I've seen it twice now in full HD at home and it's an experience in misery, frustration and tedium that only gets worse with repeat viewing.

I will never watch that film again.

The Last Airbender
Do I really need to explain why?

>Badboys2 made me avoid Bay movies like the plague,
numales, ladies and gents. bad boys 2 is the ultimate bro movie for but it's only for long dicked, >6'2" , athletic and good-hearted men.

My brother

I've seen plenty of bad movies at the cinema, but Jurassic World really sucked the joy out of me. What an awful cynical heartless peace of crap it was.

Independence Day Resurgence

haha ohhhh cringe

you think this taiwanese 2d porn site isnt for children?

whatever helps you sleep at night my geezer

The Hobbit: BotFA

A shit triffle of bland characters and bad plots topped of with a biblical amount of George Lucas tier CGI.

Bravo Hackson.

According to rotten tomatoes suicide squad is the worst movie I've seen.

Tammy
Walked out 15mins in and snuck into think like a man 2
slightly less crappy
Jack and Jill
worst movie of all time
I saw their because it was a family member b-day and she wanted to watch it
it felt like torture
I really thought I was going to die

This. I laughed only once, the side plots were boring(black character chases black girl through the whole movie because muh weed.) And I don't see why it was made

yo is this person fucking retarded

3rd Pirates movie. Pointless boring convoluted crap. The only movie I've ever fallen asleep watching in the theater.

>Also ends on a montage set to Jap folk music so utterly cringeworthy that the anime historian who introduced the film at the screening had to apologize for it

Please elaborate.

I went with some family to see that Adam Sandler movie where he plays his own twin sister.

>You have to explain why

I don't think I do.

TWISTA
WIT' YOR
SISTA

Doc Hollywood

Independence Day Resurgence. It just didn't have the same charm and energy as the original. Shit acting, shit dialogue, shit music, the action and destruction was overblown with CGI effects, the plot basically a retread from the first one but it was even more retarded in here with horrible attempt of sequels.

They were trying to replicate whitmore's speech three times in here and none of them matched with the original, even from Whitmore himself.

This felt more like recent Emmerich movie, which is dull and lifeless rather than the the 90's Emmerich which I like for its campiness. Gaaaah, I was so fucking angry because 20 years after the original and what I've got is this gigantic piece of shit

The Master of Disguise

Even as a kid I could tell it was fucking horrible. I don't remember laughing once.
