Kyle Walker is going to become the most expensive defender ever. Football is well and truly broken.

Adrian Cook
>redditspacing Go to 2005 archives, people have always typed like this. You do realise this was a meme created by Discord raiders to shitpost and you're doing their bidding by being a fucking retard and spouting this utter shit. Fuck off to Sup Forums, Sup Forums or one of the other dozens of boards it's infected.
Fucking hell, sort it out USA. As for topic, £40M for Siggy is pretty insane desu.
Ian Baker
& 50 million squid for walker isnt? I would also argue that shithouse Barkley will go for 30+ million and sigurdsson is twice the player easily. The fees are insane. Best to basically ignore them and judge whether the player fits the system Koeman obviously will set out to defend and take advantage via set pieces vs the big teams.
Kevin Murphy
has rafa signed anyone yet? or is ashley being a cheap fuck?
Samuel Gomez
Kill yourself
Easton Young
this
Siggy is clearly a far superior player to the likes of Barkley, who, if sold, could make up for much of the transfer cost. Aside from having better vision and ability as a playmaker and goalscorer, Siggy is also a set piece specialist which I believe Everton are in need of. If Koeman gets him, even at the absurd price Swansea are asking for, it will be worth it for Everton as it might be the difference between them getting into the CL next year or staying as an EL tier side.
Dominic White
He wasn't. Players really let him down and missed sitter after sitter because all of the opportunities created under his method were an absolute improvement over the sit back and walk around hoping for a counter from the elderly that was the season prior to his

If they don't sign da tings before the season starts, every interview afterwards is gonna be "we've put contract talks on hold until the end of the season, I just want to focus on playing well right now"

Angel Rodriguez
I'm pretty upset with this desu

Sigurdsson isn't even worth north of 20 million.
Daniel Campbell
Yes he is. 25 easy
Xavier Green
Is Bonucci to Milan actually happening?
Adam Stewart
>this flag >this topic
Noah Morris
some euro user make a real thread.
Luke Fisher
Same. Ok, Aké went for good money at least, Traore might have some shady side deal, but ffs Chalobah is being let go like Conte doesn't want him. And now Chelsea has to find a fourth midfielder, unless they plan to use a kid from the youth, or Pasalic.
Landon Peterson

Didn't get a single (You) in the last thread when I said Walker is Danny Mills with hair.

Justin Baker
>I'm here to kop some trophies
Jeremiah Gutierrez
It's really weird when people combine a player's wages with their transfer fee, it just muddles the perception of transfers in general.
Although transfer fees are already mental, so they may as well throw more petrol on the fire.
>£5m for Chalobah >£50m for Walker
Top kek
Liam Perez
>arsefag thinks wenger has the last word lmao the board does what they want with your club while they laugh at you, wenger is their comfortable puppet
Kevin Green
I hate it, it's sensationalism and shouldn't be allowed.
Samuel Garcia
It is kinda accurate but you also have to spread it out over years to show how it actually appears on club's books
On the books Walker will cost city about £17m per year for five years. This is what you have to actually understand to work out the budget clubs operate on
Ethan Gonzalez
Bonucci to Chelsea will be the signing of the season.
Landon Johnson
It's even better when they cherry-pick
Jose Adams
He's literally going to Milan as we speak.
Easton Powell
That is true, the common perception of transfers has always been pretty sugar-coated and inaccurate when it comes to real-life business costs. They never mention the additional cost of that player's legal fees, the cost of feeding him at the training, extra hours in wages for club doctors etc.
Football is a bit like Wrestling in that sense, the image presented to the fans and from the media is just fantasyland stuff. The actual business of it is just like any other business.
Dylan Watson
>They never mention the additional cost of that player's legal fees, the cost of feeding him at the training, extra hours in wages for club doctors etc. This is why sometimes I doubt that most clubs actually profit from having a youth team. Obviously clubs do profit, otherwise they would have stopped, but still.
Luis Wright
>Chalobah has moved to Watford for 5 million pounds. No buy-back fee There goes another 'world-beater' youth according to Chelsea fans.
Leo Wright
Learn your place you slag, Wenger bends over backwards for Barca.
Adrian Gonzalez
H-he may have a buy back, there are conflicting reports. But yeah, Chelsea shouldn't have sold him, huge mistake imo, though if he wanted to leave there wasn't much to do.
Andrew Kelly
>this damage control No one can save Barcelona.
Josiah Flores
Don't think he's going to move twice in the same window m8
Juan Williams
>huge mistake imo How? If he stayed Chalobah wouldn't even play 5-10 games as a starter this season.
Gavin Howard
>We've got to a point where £35m is considered the going rate for a mediocre player but 50m is suddenly outrageous overpayment
Aaron Hall
So what flag surprised you the most in /trans/? I was actually really surprised to find out that sweden is just a really nice guy.
Ian Gomez
Because now Chelsea have 3 midfielders, assuming Baka signs and Matic leaves, which means they'll have to sign someone else and spend time and money for a fourth choice cm. Sure, Pasalic or a kid could do it, but I don't believe Chelsea will be satisfied.
David Cruz
To be fair we're in a universe where John Stones cost 55 million while Bonucci can go to a direct rival for a mesely 40 million.
David Ramirez
Which one of us?
Connor Gutierrez
It's almost like money isn't worth the same in different countries.
Mason Ortiz
At least one of the Swede's is a massive cunt

Jordan Thompson
>Foreign clubs known for fleecing English clubs >Naturally try to extort more money out of them because they can afford it >Still accept lower offers from non-English clubs, even if they're in the same league, if the English club doesn't bid "high enough"
Ethan Rogers
Do you think juventus would have accepted a lower offer from abroad if bonucci would leave italy?
Ethan Taylor
It will just go to another youth player you guys hype up that only plays a couple of sub appearences. I don't see why Chelsea won't be satisfied when Conte isn't the biggest rotator.
Kevin Long
You'd think so, but the Italian teams have racked up the costs too.
Various reasons. He's not on the best terms with Allegri, the cl final debacle, but mostly because he wants out I guess. They have this policy of letting their players leave if they want to. Bonucci doesn't want to leave Italy because of his sickly kid, so their options are limited.
No, Bonucci doesn't want to go abroad. I think he would've gone for a lot more if that was an option.
Jayden Watson
I bet people where bitching about inflated prices when Collymore went for £8.5m
Jacob Johnson
I think Sup Forums is full of teenagers who have never seen the bump of prices a tv deal results in desu.
Kayden Jackson
If you mean Bonucci he didn't want to leave Italy because of his wife and sick kid apparently
Ryan Moore
Isn't Bonucci the one with a Torino customer? Go home lad.
Tyler Davis
Ox matic switch happening >being snubbed all the way from lukaku to fucking chamberlain
Imagine what they said when Trevor Francis went for £1,180,000
Julian Collins
kek at least one of his kids wont be upset at him moving
Aiden Peterson
>I don't see why Chelsea won't be satisfied when Conte isn't the biggest rotator. Because I don't recall another hyped youth player for the midfield. I don't follow the youth team, but the only other cm Chelsea has that played a decent amout of real football I can think of is Pasalic, and I don't see Chelsea using a complete kid as fourth midfielder.
Josiah Phillips
I would pay good money to see that defence play together
Bentley Nguyen
There is a sweden who is always nice, he is usually on at night though. Too bad you people care so much about blacks etc otherwise we could have been friends ):
Anthony Martin
no it isn't
Adrian Taylor
If England chose to play Dier as a centre back we would be close enough
