This confuses the Amerifat
Is that a humidifier?
Honestly I'm kind of surprised Americans haven't started a popular movement against microwaves because after all they are highly radioactive and contaminate water
I once spent hours in one of these treads arguing about kettles vs microwaves with americans
I fought hard for kettles but they got me
Americans do some dumb shit but they're right about this. There is no logical reason to buy a kettle. A microwave does the job just as fast and just as effectively and it heats things other than water too. Every kitchen needs a microwave so why waste money on a kettle? it makes no sense. You only have one because everyone does. when you were setting up your kitchen you thought "hey im going to need a kettle" without ever actually considering why. Its all a marketing ploy set up by Big Kettle. They've pushed the idea that kettles are necessary, implanted the idea in the minds of millions that they MUST buy a kettle, they NEED a kettle when they fucking dont. Throw away your kettle, and never listen to its whistle again.
what do americans use instaed
I have both. The kettle is more convenient if you want to heat up water even if it's not necessary
>put cup in microwave
>cup heats up
>can't touch it
a microwave, and as much as it pains me to admit it, they are right for once.
microwave. see
get some better mugs. the handle shouldnt heat up so much you cant hold it.
A kettle is essential for me because here in the land of eternal communism and winter we need to boil tap water and then filter it before it will be safe to drink. Therefore a kettle is much more suitable because it fits 2 litres while a microwave fits only two cups at a time max.
>we need to boil tap water and then filter it before it will be safe to drink
Sometimes I forget just how horrible your lives are on Sup Forums
For tea such low temperatures might be acceptable but for the instant coffee I drink it has be very hot.
i've never had microwave
>we need to boil tap water
Are you a babushka or filthy muskovite?
550 km to the south of Moscow.
Everybody boils water here. Many people filter it afterwards for better protection.
Raw tap water is undrinkable here. Smells of iron and chlorine.
Wouldn't it depend on the energy output/rating of the microwave? I'd say for most products a decent kettle would boil faster. Never tested it though. You can actually buy electric kettles in America, but it takes stupidly long to boil.
...
I have a kettle. Most women have kettles in the US.
127 volts in the US
220 volts in Europe.
Our kettles boil water twice as fast as their.
You don't buy artesian water? Were you bullied in school?
I have an electric kettle. I don't see why it's a necessity if you don't drink much tea though.
>being a pussy
I've never understood these threads. I'm an American (Texas) and literally everyone I know who drinks more than the occasional cup of tea owns one of these. Hell my fucking roomate in college from Bee Cave owned one for Ramen.
Is the rest of the US retarded?
