Round-up of what's been revealed and/or leaked about the movie so far.
>Opening flashbacks from CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR featuring Peter Parker (Tom Holland) being picked up by Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) to go to Germany and being given a new suit designed by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.); and then being dropped off back at home by Tony Stark after the airport battle and told he's not an Avenger, but is being allowed to keep the new suit.
>Flashforward to Peter's sophomore year at Midtown Science and Technology School, which he's attending on a scholarship. His best friend is Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon), and he has a crush on the wealthy and popular Liz Allan (Laura Harrier), who is organizing the school's homecoming dance.
>Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori) is a wealthy, snobbish classmate of Peter's who's upset Peter often upstages him despite his poor upbringing and lack of dedication to schoolwork, which unknowingly to Flash is due to Peter's crimefighting activities.
>Peter and Flash begin competing for Liz's affections and both want to ask her to homecoming dance. They volunteer to join an academic declathon team to stay close to her, and Peter brings Ned along with him.
>Peter is also acquainted to Michelle Gonzalez (Zendaya), a sarcastic outsider who secretly has feelings for him and hides them with hostily.
>As Spider-Man, Peter is eager to prove himself as a hero, but ends up handling only low-level criminals and notes there's an arms race with Chitauri weapons salvaged from the Battle of New York.
>Flash Thompson is some scrawny little poo in the loo
Jaxon Martinez
sound like a shitty anime
Jordan Robinson
>Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton) is a criminal who believes they need to keep up to the changes in the game. He then procures Chitauri-enhanced weaponry from Phineas Mason (Michael Chernus), an ex-employee from Stark Industries known as "The Thinkerer". Toomes acquires a Chitauri-enhanced Falcon wingpack, while his men (Bookem Woodbine, Logan Marshall-Green and Donald Glover) get energy weapons.
>Peter encounters the Vulture and loses. Stark tells him to let it go and alerts Peter he's not being pursued by the Accords because he's only dealing with street-level crime, and if he tries to breach out the government will come after him.
>Peter, Michelle, Liz, Flash, Ned and Liz's best friend Betty Brant (Angourie Rice) go to Washington, D.C. for the academic declathon, where Peter gets into another fight with the Vulture and his men on a highway, followed by a battle at the declathon building. Peter rescues his classmates, but is pursued by the police and his suit is damaged. Ned finds out he's Spider-Man.
>The Vulture lures Spider-Man into another confrontation at an cruise ship, which he tears a hole through with one of his men's energy weapons. Spider-Man holds the ship in place, further damaging his suit, and cuts ties with Stark when he's once again reprimanded for it.
>Toomes finds out who Peter is and dismisses him as an adversary for being a kid. When Peter turns the tables on him, Vulture and Shocker attack Midtown during the homecoming dance and have a vicious fight in which Spider-Man beats them both in his old homemade suit, with none of the upgrades provided by Stark, relying only on his own strength and wits. Shocker is arrested, Vulture is arrested/dies (unclear at this point), recognizing Spider-Man as a worthy adversary.
Elijah Lopez
He's Nicaraguan.
Easton Martin
>Peter proves himself to Stark by saving Midtown High and arresting the Thinkerer, and is accepted as an Avenger.
>However, Peter blows off several dates with Liz, who decides to go to the homecoming dance with Flash. Peter ends up going with Michelle, and they form a connection that might become a romantic relationship in future movies.
>Iron Man joins Spider-Man for the final swing. There might be an allusion to Vulture wanting to assemble a new crew in reference to the Sinister Six.
Nolan Sanders
Thinkerer?
Adam Sanders
>interracial love triangle with occasional quips from Ironman thrown in to connect it to the other movies
Bravo Marvel!
Joseph Stewart
>Michael Keaton is the Birdman.
Pottery.
Matthew Baker
>Stark tells him to let it go and alerts Peter he's not being pursued by the Accords because he's only dealing with street-level crime
Dayum, I only just now realised that Marvel introduced the accords into MCU to decontaminate growing numbers of tv-shows and movies from each other
Luke Cooper
>Peter is also acquainted to Michelle Gonzalez (Zendaya), a sarcastic outsider who secretly has feelings for him and hides them with hostily.
A FUCKING TSUNDERE
DROPPED
Landon Hernandez
TOTALLY NOT MJ GUYs
Benjamin King
>Sinister Six Let it go Sony. Fuck.
Luke Ward
I messed that up.
Jaxon Morgan
is anyone really caring about this. I think it's gonna be a bombaroo.
Charles Ross
That suit is shit, the cast is shit, this will be shit, but because it's under marvel studios now everyone is going to eat it up and people on Sup Forums will be seen as a contrarian for pointing out the real flaws it has.
Parker Long
>tfw peter parker is killed so a spic can take his role
Jack Kelly
>everyone is going to eat it up and people on Sup Forums will be seen as a contrarian for pointing out the real flaws it has.
>This level of delusion
Henry Hill
>Flash Thompson entering Academic Decathlon
Owen Baker
I think they're trying to make him a modern bully. Truth is kids are malicious these days but they're not total physical bullies like they used to be. They came down on fighting hard the past few years in schools. Having a bully like Malfoy or something is much more realistic
Kayden Peterson
Well, she isn't.
Jason Bailey
Sounds kino.
Justin Carter
>it's a "hero goes the the final battle with a handicap" episode
They're already "loaning out" Spidey to Marvel. At this point, it's just a matter of convincing Marvel/Disney so ironically, they now actually have a better chance than ever.
Jaxson Clark
This. The old school beat up nerds type of jock is well, old school.
Tyler Evans
...
Jonathan King
Tomboy-tsunbere.
Kayden Campbell
FUCKING HIJAB.
Isaiah Taylor
>A girl(female) will never look at me this way
I'm going for the bullet lads
Elijah Walker
>2 white guys fighting over some twig flat ass niggress
c'mon, how am i supposed to believe this?
Owen Brooks
Face it nigger *checks for nearest KFC* face it *steals* yo hit *converts to islam* damn jackpot! * evolves from primate*
Jose Cox
Because it's one white guy.
Angel Adams
Oh ok no I understand. Sorry for being such a racist jerk earlier
Jack Gutierrez
>I don't rate Zendaya
A plague upon your house
Joseph Mitchell
goddess
Lucas Foster
Her "natural" form is pretty cute.
Kayden Wood
>When Peter turns the tables on him, Vulture and Shocker attack Midtown during the homecoming dance and have a vicious fight in which Spider-Man beats them both in his old homemade suit, with none of the upgrades provided by Stark, relying only on his own strength and wits.
Let this be real.
Isaiah Cruz
so when is venom showing up in guardians of the galaxy?
Ryder Mitchell
Too bad she has to suck harvey weinstein every night
Sebastian Carter
I want comicfags to leave
Logan Hughes
STOP
KILLING
VILLAINS
Xavier Harris
Director John Watts obviously employed the force technique established by Nolan in his masterpiece L'Ascension du chevalier noir (2012)
Ryder Rodriguez
Shocker is in this. I hope he gets his cheesy 70s suit.
Eli Roberts
Why? There are too many villains per super hero to have any repeats. Unless you want Vulture to be the villain in the next three Spidey movies?
Nolan Flores
>Donald Glover >plays a random goon He sure fucked up with his choice of a Marvel film.
Henry Long
Angourie Rice is pretty clearly playing Gwen Stacy, she looks exactly like her
Robert Richardson
The amount of fucking tie-ins to the other movies is fucking bullshit. I just wanted a decent solo movie, but this shit has more references than any other solo movies Marvel has done.
Nathan Lopez
Yeah. I noticed that too. How odd.
Christopher Richardson
Really not digging this whole 'Peter tries to prove himself not to be a kid and impress Stark' theme
Eli Sanders
That's lame that Peter is going to keep getting in fights where his classmates will be, seems a little dumb
Asher Ramirez
>Midtown Science and Technology School > wealthy and popular Liz Allan (Laura Harrier), who is organizing the school's homecoming dance >Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori) is a wealthy, snobbish classmate of Peter
Peter I can see attending. His fat, gelatinous mouth'd friend I can see attending. "Liz Allen" whoever the fuck that is and "Flash Thompson" wouldn't be caught dead at a school like that.
Zachary Jones
I'm ok with this, being a white guy with jungle fever.
Charles Ward
especially since Stark is the biggest fuck-up alive and can't even pretend not to be miserable anymore other than to a 15 year old
Carter Rivera
Well this sounds completely awful.
Glad I haven't wasted any money on this stuff since the first Ironman.
Charles Evans
So are blacks allowed to take the rolls of other races? Why didnt they cast an actual latina for Michelle? The only Latin I can think of the UMCU is Penas goofy ass character.
Dominic Clark
>Change the name and we'll all sign it right now.
Christopher Green
>Vulture and Shocker attack Midtown during the homecoming dance and have a vicious fight in which Spider-Man beats them both in his old homemade suit If this actually real fuck yes, hopefully It is as hardcore as the end fight in the first spiderman movie.
His home made suit looks like fucking garbage though. I'm not a big fan of the current design of the Tony suit but I don't want Spider-Man wearing some shitty looking suit for the final fight either.
Connor Cooper
post screencap of his home made suit
Josiah Myers
>Opening flashbacks CIVIL WAR featuring Peter Parker (Tom Holland) being picked up by Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) to go to Germany and being given a new suit designed by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.); and then being dropped off back at home by Tony Stark after the airport battle and told he's not an Avenger, but is being allowed to keep the new suit.

>Iron Man joins Spider-Man for the final swing.
Benjamin Murphy
fuck them Spiderman never wanted to join the Avengers, he wanted to join the Fantastic 4 ..until they told him it didn't pay and then he told them to forget it.
Grayson Baker
Reed Richards is such a fucking tightass. Dude has to be close to Stark levels of wealthy.
Isaac James
They just rent space in the Baxter Building don't they?
Carter Hill
Three words.
The Future Foundation
Ryder Bailey
Lmao what do you mean "plot details"? I'm not reading that-- nigga I saw the trailer. Marvel is literally incapable of editing one that doesn't show all of the best parts of their movies. We all know this is going to be mediocre.
Josiah Gray
>marvelfags saying its just gonna be a cameo
Carson Taylor
I take that back. I just read all of that. It DEFINITELY is going to be mediocre.
Luis James
>implying marvel won't do it >implying marvel won't kill off captain america, iron man and replace them to soft reboot the series lol kids don't know any better
Mason Bennett
Pretty sure it is. I remember hearing about a homecoming dance being filmed for the movie and they wanted extras.
Benjamin Morgan
Its a bit cliche but I guess it will be what teaches peter that he cant be spider-man and have a normal life so this will be the moment when he distances himself and embraces spider-man.
Cooper Cruz
Sounds like a shitty school drama. Are you sure this isn't on the CW with Supergirl?
Hudson Turner
that never happens, Spider-Man's defining characteristic is that he tries to balance his personal life with being a superhero that he is guilted into doing from not preventing his Uncle Ben's death due to not listening to his advice about great power coming with great responsibility.
Ryder Perez
so flash thompson is a nu-male bully for the modern age
Brody Walker
This sounds much worse than ASM2
Zachary Sanchez
cant wait for the porn parody where aunt may gets fucked by ironman
Levi Lewis
>dude how are you so good at climbing walls? do you have spider powers? >no I'm just mexican
Asher Ross
its going to suck when im watching this 2 second clip in slo mo over and over in the theatre.
Nathan Lewis
falcap, miles, female thor, blackron woman and such were brought in because the main ones grew stale after decades of issues
it'll be a while before an exec greenlights something like black spider-man on main mcu
Brandon Garcia
here's an edgy idea then, end the series until someone has an actually good idea to do with them. Do they think new audiences would stop buying the good story arcs if comic book companies like Marvel or DC just stopped jumping the shark repeatedly and started printed nice collected versions of their old stories? Apparently the popularity of superhero movies isn't doing much to help comic book sales anyway.
Jose Thompson
cant wait for them to get a pornstar that looks nothing like aunt may
Jackson Phillips
more of a "i'm doing everything right. why is no one liking me/getting respect?" bully.
Hunter Anderson
>implying that isn't exactly where the relationship between Tony & Peter is going in the official MCU canon.
"Oh hi slugger, What? No I'm not here to let you into the Avengers, I was just stopping by to say hi to your Aunt May."
Hudson Jones
>Marissa Tomei will never do porn in your lifetime
Juan Cruz
>Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori) is a wealthy, snobbish classmate
cant wait for the reveal that hes a user in a Sup Forums clone and cyberbullies peter
