First for Marshall Amplification.

I would like to reach out once again to other people that are interested in music theory (either learning or just chatting about ideas)

I am more than happy to help people learn to play guitar and music theory

Clean that motherfucker once in a while.

so much disrespect for your stuff clan that shit mexicano!

how come nobody ever talks about playing guitar/bass in these threads?
it's always gear discussion
you guys know it literally doesn't matter what you're playing with, right?

I’m back boys
instagram.com/p/BdbQcStA6J_/

Is there a way to know when to put in minor chords in a cadence for example i iv v vii in C would be C F G B but how would i go about making one of those minor or do i just choose a chord and just do its relative or harmonic minor?

Which amp brand has the best gain?

>just give me a squier, a crate 5 watt and a metal zone and I'm good to go

Are you aspiring to be the new Samuel?

One monkey in this thread is already too many

>you guys know it literally doesn't matter what you're playing with, right?
to people who dont play guitars yes thats why we care about gear here.

if this is a serious question, then join the discord

i dont have time for faggotry of people trying to troll

Why do people like Bigsbys, when you can barely do anything on them compared to modern trems? Is it just a style thing?

Yes it is a serious post. Im not gonna install that app tho. Just gibe me a quick rundown please.

Revv

I concluded its for an aesthetic reason. Bigsbys are the least practical, but do look nice on some guitars. Imagine a floyd rose on a gretsch. Would look strange.

You only play in Cu minor.

>who?

>instagram.com/p/BbfmPf0gC1O/
actually that's way better than the other video. Thicker strings suit better your style. I really didn't like your sound with the electric.

I would use bigsbys for surfer sounding stuff, like Mac Demarco and then use a Floyd for more dynamic playing

I see your interest in guitar.

What are some techniques you want to learn?

I want to properly learn the bass slap buzz in this (0:38). Not sure if it's also the gear used that makes the effect.
youtu.be/JgXXd6pMASM?t=35s

You wanna answer my question?

crate and fender are the top two

Wow, you actually listen to this?

No. And fuck off.

Crate doesn't even exist anymore.

>skepticalcostanza.jpeg

you dont have to install the app (I dont use it, i just use the webpage)

If you're playing in C minor, your notes are:
C - D - Eb - F - G - Ab- Bb

since you're playing the minor scale, your tonic chord (root chord: C) is automatically going to be minor..... so its "i"... a minor 1 chord

your iv and v chord are also minor.... it's also worth noting that your VI and VII chords are built off flatted 6ths and 7th degrees (in relation to how a major 6th and 7th is place in the major scale)

i: C-Eb-G
iidim: D-F-Ab
III: Eb-G-Bb
iv: F-Ab-C
v: G-Bb-D
VI: Ab-C-Eb
VII: Bb-D-F

those are all 7 diatonic chords and whether they're major or minor (and one diminished)

I know. What's with the kids these days?

Thanks for the reply. What about for c major do i just replace a chord with my choosing of its relative or harmonic minor?

Just focus in Cu minor. You have a lot of practice with it, though.

...

learn the modal framework?

so upper case is major lower is minor and all annotate any other

I ii iii IV V(7th) vi vii(diminished)

this is for a major scale harmonic and jazz minor work diffrently, but you probably dont have to worry about those unless you're playing jazz.

It's funny because I made it with the latest mexican technology
AYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYYYYYYY

youtube.com/watch?v=1Gixge-4lsI

Haha so this is the macaco. Thought so. Damn nigga youre really butthurt lmao. What did i do to you? Are you just envious?

Wrong, cumo taco.
AYAYAYAYAYYYYYYYY
Keep practicing with Cu minor.

...

C Major is just (or any major)
I
ii
iii
IV
V
vi
VII

If you want more complicated chords, you need to branch out in to 7ths, then extensions, then substitutions.

You can also borrow chords or notes from other scales (including but not limited to the relative minor)

For example there are 3 "major" modes of the major (ionian) scale
Ionian (obviously) which is our major scale
Lydian (has a raised 4th)
Mixolydian (has a flat 7th, but that's better used for domintant chords)

but then you can learn other scales like the Harmonic Major which is the major scale with a flat 6th...

It's all about learning something new then putting it to practice

he is a bit retarded cant handle the bantz.

What are your thoughts on the new 2018 Juniors?

I can't play with bad intonation. I just can't.

Rate my fat-strat

play me sum iron maiden.

>Gibson

>standard tune-o-matic bridge/saddles
>strings under tension bar
A recipe for shit tuning stability.

Humbucker in the bridge. That's a manly option. Could you believe that some people put some cumbucker in there?

One fairly easy way of adding stuff to a key is using secondary dominants, i.e. the dominant 7th chord (or just major) a fifth above / fourth below the following chord. It's why progressions like C-E7-Am-G7 work. You could add a secondary dominant before EVERY chord in a progression but that generally fuck up the sense of tonality more than you want.

Well, believe it or not: I actually have coilsplit for it aswell!

>You could add a secondary dominant before EVERY chord in a progression
Then it would not be a secondary dominant.

why not though? If you have a simple progression like C Am F G you could double time it as C E7 Am C7 F D7 G G7 and I'm pretty sure that'd still count as C major with some secondary dominants in it. It would sound a little too chaotic for most purposes though.

Secondary dominants are for resolutions. In the case you used its for tonicized chords. Check Coltrane changes.

Very nice my dude

Once again thanks for the reply. So im guessing its not a coincidence the minor chords are where the half steps are in the scale? Im just a beginner so this is still new.

FAT STRAT IS BEST STRAT!

>cumshot compilation edition

>blocks your path

I should buy a banjo

>banjo
nop better get a violin.

It just sounds like it's tuned way too low and the strings are buzzing.

Should I cop a Tokai BREEZY SOUND Tele?

oh i am laffin

black with humbuckers

metaltard pls go

Get a job "literally"

Kek

Anyone wanna guess what is it?

A relatively large music-related item.

most prob a vomitcaster
i sound jaded but yes im jaded cant stand teles anymore.

This

I hope it is a fucking Maybach. It better be a fucking Maybach.

not only is it a tele, it's a Harley Benton tele!

God fucking dammit, why isn't a Maybach. I want one.

Are there any redpilled guitarists in the midwest that wanna make a pro-white midwest emo band? I've got a vocalist from Northern Indiana, me from Southern Michigan, and some riffs that might work with just a drummer, but It'd be better if they didn't have to.

ebin

i need to stop coming here you telefags are destroying me

every time i saw a tele here i feel like murdering a kitty.

This shit looks gayer than two dudes blowing each other while 5 other men masturbate standing in a circle around them.

>pro-white midwest emo band
you can't be "emo" and be "pro-white" as the two ideas are diametrically opposed.

>pro-white
stand for something.
>emo
stand for nothing.

if it had a plain white pickguard it would actually be pretty nice

omae wa mou shindeiru.

With a good nut, Bigsbys hold tune pretty good. Being able to bend a note down a half step or so expands one's expressiveness exponentially; it's does as much for this effort as bends or wah pedals.

Sure, dive bombing is out of the question, but that's just a novelty.

Soy/10

Delicious but overpriced.

My dubs are higher than your dubs so that means you're wrong. Sorry.

7/10 because its a sig. 8/10 otherwise.

Demo pls

what's that? It's the new taco bell menu?
Yo quiero un omae wa mou con cumo.

>drawers are labeled "drawers"
that is adorable. i just want to hold you.

...

Bigsby is better than stock "tremelo" that comes on a Strat.
