it was Star Wars when I saw it at the Chinese in 77, it is Star Wars to me still, and it always will be Star Wars no matter what Johnny-come-lately faggots like you say.

>Johnny-come-lately faggots like you say
Like George Lucas...?

yeah he's the poster child for Johnny-come-lately shenanigans

star wars>the empire strikes back>return of the jedi

Jawas were my favorite character from StarWars part 4.

You were at the Chinese theatre in 77. Have any good stories user?

Finally someone posts the correct order.

So is Return of the Jedi, Revenge of the Jedi to you?

You mean the other way around.

A New Hope sounds like a gay porno, I know you love those but come on.

Yes, that is release order

what

I call it Star Wars because it feels fucking awesome in the original 1977 trailers.

STAR WARS.

A BILLION YEARS IN THE MAKING, AND IT'S COMING TO YOUR GALAXY...

THIS SUMMER.

>Reminder that if you care at all about Star Wars beyond the age of 12 you're a faggot mouthbreather

FTFY OP

I am 12

That was the original working title of RotJ, but it was never shown in theaters with that title until way after it's original release. He's just being an obtuse fuckboi. It wasn't called "A New Hope until 1981, when Empire was release and they re-release the first movie.

Right > Left

fucking this, I didn't endure years of autists believing Boba Fett was going to turn out to be anyone important so fuckwits like OP could troll

>autists so mad Bobba Fett died in such a cartoony and dumb way they are actually changing the canon so he somehow escapes the thousand years of painful digestion so he can die in a lame explosion or whatever

Yes, I Agree, but right looked like a lot of 70's sci fi movie posters. Not that it's a bad thing, they were just trying to play it more serious.

>That was the original working title of RotJ
neat, didn't know that

was the trailer that went with it. It was changed early, so early that there isn't a poster with a rating on it. There are 2 theories why they changed it.
1 is that Lucas thought jedi never got "revenge". I think that is the official story
The second is that it was an effort to stamp out bootleg merchandise, which had become a huge problem with star wars/Empire. I'd like to think that Lucas didn't know the lore well enough to actually change it for lore reasons, but muh sheckles is perfect.

Movie posters featuring scenes/scenarios that never happen in the movie are my favorites.

It actually makes sense that they would change it for money reasons because the sole reason Empire's budget inflated was because it had the Star Wars name attached to it, so much that the production title for this was ''Blue Harvest - Horror beyond Imagination''.

It's so fucking gay what happened to Empire, it made about as much money as Star Wars but the jews of hollywood still found a way to fuck it all up by fining Lucas for having the credits at the end, and because of that Return of the Jedi wasn't directed by Spielberg

Mine too. As an aside, that shit happened in cartoons ALL THE TIME in the 80's and early 90's. The credits would feature over the top action scenes that were never in any episode. Duck Tales, Chip n' Dale, Darkwing duck, Batman, TMNT, etc. I used to always try to find those scenes, but I was tilting at windmills.

That was actually a great trailer. It gives very little away, apart from the sarlaac pit. You are only teased with the forest planet setting and the return to tattooine.

Reminder that if you're visiting Sup Forums, you're an irredeemable faggot and you've already surrendered your chance at a productive and meaningful existence.

fuck him up, Grandpa

I thought Blue Harvest was RotJ?

Cartoon openings generally feature better animation than the show itself most of the time because they were made separately.

The only show I can think of that has animation on par with the opening is CyberSix

The OT always had great trailers.

My favorite ones are always the one where the logo blows up in the end, it always gets me.

Blue Harvest is Return of the Jedi, they only had that as a title so people selling the construction wood for the sets wouldn't give a shit about it and not inflate the prices.

It was my 8th birthday and it was GLORIOUS
