Sup Forums is a husk of its former self but I can't leave because this has been my home board since 2010 and I can't keep up with all the other boards, even Sup Forums (which was my home board before Sup Forums was created).

I didn't imply that. It's more that many younger people (not oldfags like us) will automatically go on Reddit because it's the "hot" place to be. They ignore Sup Forums, they never want to go here, because it looks dated and weird.

I think we have quite the opposite problem, Sup Forums is becoming more and more popular due to flooding of redditors into Sup Forums without anyone giving a damn about integrating into Sup Forums culture. Back when I came to Sup Forums for the first time from SA, I didn't shit up the place with memes and mannerisms from SA, I lurked for a while until I was able to post as part of the community. For whatever reason people don't do that anymore and they make Sup Forums their little reddit playground rather than change their ways.
I tried making a thread for suggestions about Sup Forums generals where I made a long OP about which generals should be consolidated and which should be deleted but everyone just told me to fuck off because "generals are part of Sup Forums culture" and nothing should be tampered with. We can't make Sup Forums better until we all can agree on something, which is impossible I'm afraid.
