Is it true the non-Americans don't get cars for their 16th birthday?

Is it true the non-Americans don't get cars for their 16th birthday?

Delet

>not 15th birthday

>non chicanos don't get a lowrider on their 10th birthday

I don't know how to drive

>americans cannot drink until they're 21

lol what the fuck

Everyone I know bought their own car when they were 16.

Are all American teenagers such entitled spoiled brats?

I don't get how in the us you can drive at 16 but can't drink alcohol until 21.

But you can only work at 16

Most of my friends started working at 14.

>Everyone I know bought their own car when they were 16.
How the fuck are you going to buy a car at 16, unless it's a $1000 rustbucket?

Wider lanes, cities are designed for traffic, more relaxed driving culture, automatics, the most difficult part is figuring out what XING PED means.

I think it's 16 in Ontario tho

>How the fuck are you going to buy a car at 16
Hard work, something you euros know nothing about

Why would we? One can only obtain his driver's license after 18 here

That's late AF what the hell

>One can only obtain his driver's license after 18 here

How much would an average 16 year old Unitedstatian spend on his car?

I flipped burgers from 14 til 18 y.o. like mad cunt while doing upper elementary and high school. Don't remember making enough to even theoretically buy car though, at least one that'd last beyond the next intersection (+ insurance etc)

is it true americans don't know how to drive and that the car actually does it for them?

I drive a manual VW Jetta

Realistically, if a teenager were to buy a car themselves it would be pretty shitty, unless they got a long loan so the payments were smaller
Most of the time their parents will help a bit with the payments

>XING PED
Crossing pedestrians? Can I get my license now, sir?

In those 4 years you should have easily $15k+ saved Wtf dude?

In hs I worked briefly but 20-25 hrs a week. I was getting $500 paychecks.

I think it's alright desu, not too late or too soon. But I may be biased cause most acts linked to the civil life comes after 18 to us.
Except voting, you can do that as soon as you reach 16, go figure

I think it's fine too I just meant it's late compared to Canada/US

>parents bought sister an expensive car at 15
>had to buy myself a shitpile at 20
wtf I hate my parents now

Pepeandwojakhugging.jpeg

I know that feel brother

Learnt to drive when i was 12 tho.

Around 15 i was already bringing my drunk parents home when we went to parties.

Kek my parents bought my sister a car when she went off to college and I got nothing

>this post
>this flag

What?

Nevermind...

Say it.

That is not normal.

death to older sisters

I know.

Death to all siblings desu

It was another time, another currency, can't really remember nor be arsed to inflation-adjust what my salary then would be in today's money. It wasn't a lot though.

But if you extrapolate a today's shitty salary that a teenager might get,

1500 eur/mo (fulltime) / 150 h/month = 10 eur/h gross

10 eur/h * 0,7 (taxes) * 3 days/week * 4h/day * 4 weeks/mo * 11 mo/year = 3700 eur /year net

> 20-25 hrs a week. I was getting $500 paychecks
That's a lot of hours if you're supposed to study, sleep and have a life too.

>saving money when you're high school age
Yeah, sure.

Pedestrian crossing, it's painted on the pavement, you're supposed to read it in the direction you're driving, and it triggers my OCD. But since someone conveniently "forgot" a bottle of vodka next to the desk, congratulations on your new license, mister.

Fortunately I wouldn't know that much

Yes I saved money when I was in highschool... I still live like a pennypinching Jew desu

I agree though when I worked 25 hrs a week plus school it was a nightmare. No freetime at all, I did it briefly though.

>But since someone conveniently "forgot" a bottle of vodka next to the desk, congratulations on your new license, mister.
You know exactly how it's done. Suspicious.

I heard passing down cars to children is pretty common in America since they gradually have to upgrade to bigger wider cars to fit their ever swelling bodies in once every few years just like hermit crabs, except Americans are not as intellectual.

Lol good one Davido kun

uncalled for :(

This would have been marvelous if it was the first reply
The least I can do is give a (You)

Most people tend to drink before then anyways

Car license, 18
Motorbike license, 16
Voting and heavy cars, 21

they're just too metabolically disadvantaged.

is your sister older than you? im the youngest child an my older sister pretty much got carried all her life by my parents and when it was "my turn" i pretty much got jack shit, my paretns got her a car and paid for the insurance until she got a job while i had to work for my own, at least my granma paid for my license(i heard that in the us it was cheap but over here is expensive)
