It's been 20 years and it still hasn't been topped.
Get in here and pay your respects

Agreed.
It gets old about halfway through though, songs are too similar between each other
This is still their best.
wtf this is just aerosmith but slowed down
who did it better?
youtube.com
youtube.com
(obviously MA, but that theme is still comfy)
you mean skepticism sped up, right?
it's How To Destroy Angels_ with time travel, you ignorant fucks
millenial """"""""""humor""""""""""
Influential but not their best.
Easily my favorite album ever, it's such a shame that aside from Dummy and there is basically no other trip-hop album that doesn't suck.
All of MA's albums really are perfect lazy/rainy day albums for when it's just grey outside and you feel exhausted and just want to lie around in bed staring at the walls.
Granted as a UK NEET that's pretty much every day
fuck off back to home jaček
uwot m8
I'm white and born here, sorry to disappoint
>it's such a shame that aside from Dummy and there is basically no other trip-hop album that doesn't suck
I really ought to start a thread disproving this notion one of these days, since it's reached meme status.
ignore the -land an just fuck off back to Sup Forums then
And since you (or someone else) keeps claiming there's more albums as good as those two, yet never post any of them
he's not wrong tho
MA and Portishead alone have like 8 good albums between em
Oh come on, I thought you were being serious
>factmag
*breaths in*
>Portishead
fantfourstick proved it's unlistenable without coke
How is Lamb's s/t not on there?
>almost all shit albums
>implying endtroducing is trip-hop
>mezzanine nowhere on the list
is this a fucking joke?
just because you've never heard of them does not mean they're shit
Mezzanine > Dummy > Blue Lines > P > Protection > Maxinquaye
that's it
Fine, here (though technically half of them appear in , but still).
The title track is the best for that bass
I was looking back to see if you were looking back at me to see me looking back at you.
this x 2
any other trip hop songs as heavy as angel? obviously the incredible bongo band sample makes it, and the rest of the album of great, but it lacks the droning synths and steady rhythm of the first track
Angel is my all time favorite track. Not as intense as Angel but good:
youtube.com
youtube.com
Hollywood theme is fucking great
>Songs of a Dead Dreamer is trip hop
?!
>no Sneaker Pimps
>no Lamb
>no Cibo Matto
>no Morecheeba
>no Telepopmusik
they got 1 and 2 right though
illbient is just trip-hop & jungle for 90s americans who didn't quite "get" trip-hop & jungle innit
A real fuck-anthem
too many decent+ trip hop records to consider opinions like those anymore desu, it's a big meme
that album has aged like milk
plus this
the "muh sultry vocals + lame ass rapping on top of a wub bassline" gets old
It's a good album, but other than the amazing production and the time when it came out, there's absolutely nothing special about it
>plebeians will argue against this
It's only aged like milk if your standard for fresh music is trap production and 80's revivalism.
Archive - Londinium is the best trip hop album. Massive Attack is very good too. Portishead is overrated.
...
Forgot to fix some things.
>color in the album title
>that color is not present in the album art
do they do this just to make autists ree? (because it works)
horace andy is a cool dude. man next door and (exchange) are sick. fuck the haters
>there is basically no other trip-hop album that doesn't suck
Nigga
One of the best albums ever made
