I want to join a boxing gym, after how many months would I be able to do some real sparring session ?
Tyler Hughes
It depends man. If you are a fast leaner, and have a good engine and chin maybe 3 months. But you are gonna suck anyway so take your time polishing your technique and getting some good habits like a good head movement and some awareness
Jonathan Wood
>mfw McGregory gets BTFO and the UFC have to beg back a WWE wrestler

What is your absolute favorite fight of all time? Not the one you say when pressured in the barbershop. Not the one you say to impress strangers on boxingscene. The fight that won you over at first viewing and watch over and over again. Mine is Whitaker vs Mayweather.
I think Salvador Sanchez Vs Azumah nelson. No a single clinch in all the fight, Salvador losing in the score card but rocky azumahs shit so hard that he didnt know where was his corner.
I think castillo vs corrales was a great fight but not a great boxing match, was a glorified bar brawl to me Now thats a good fight
Carson Hill
Will the WBC be involved in MayMac?

I get so hype when he switches to southpaw in the final round and scraps it out instead of just coasting even though he was well ahead on the cards

>Normies unironically losing their shit that Maywewather McGregor is "only" £20
It's the same price as every other PPV. Just like the $100 is a similar price for PPV in America.
Tbh I actually really hope the fight is shit, either a KO for Mayweather in the first round or a 12 round snoozefest purely to spite all the complete and utter retards that purchase it
Liam James
$100 isn't the normal price in America, it's the top line price for Mayweather fights and there was a risk that it would be pushed up here to 25 as BT might overbid due to their UFC connection. The streams will be unwatchable.
Sebastian Davis
>tfw GGG Canelo is on BoxNation but not BT Sport
So I assume this means that only the Frank Warren cards are on BT then, while the international fights are BoxNation exclusive?
This is slightly annoying if that's the case now, could have sworn Lomachenko's previous fight was on BT Sport and BoxNation
William Wilson
It's going on the PPV channel they were going to launch with Fury vs Klitschko 2
Ryder Sanders
I remember when he first one the that belt...that post fight interview was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Luis Myers
Mah nigga.
That was the very first ppv I had seen at 10 years old
Jaxon Morris
>Just like the $100 is a similar price for PPV in America. Nooooooooooo. Even MayPac was 5 dollars less. The closest another ppv has come was the recent Canelo fights and GGG/Jacobs at 70 dollars
Noah Martin
Reminder that FOTY already happened

Enjoy your choppy 240p stream at 4am
Daniel Bell
>not watching it in a comfy pub lock-in with the lads
Nolan Nguyen
Enjoy giving money to a joke
Lincoln Moore
More importantly than this McGregor meme shit, who the fuck will be televising the World Boxing Super Series?
Jackson Ross
The only upcoming fights on Boxnation that are also on BT Sport are featuring Frank Warren fighters.
Fights like the Lomachenko fight on Saturday, Canelo-GGG, Cotto's upcoming fight etc are only on BoxNation it seems
Nathan Roberts
Enjoy being a nerd watching the corpse of Cotto win a 12 round decision
Easton Ramirez
...
Chase Bell
Well I still pay for BoxNation so I'm happy with that. I guess it's their alternative to the PPV model
Mason Richardson
>tfw live with parents, who have BT Sport, so can watch BoxNation that way >tfw about to move out, and was planning on having comfy alarms set at 4am to watch BoxNation fights on BT Sport via the app >tfw can't do this now
This is disappointing
Elijah Wood
Oh wait, just checked and you can get BoxNation on BT Sport app
Feels good man
Levi Edwards
Is there a system similar to fight pass in which I pay a subscription to get all my fights?
Brandon Adams
In it's current package format, no one. If they make some changes, Sky and Boxnation, maybe even ITV
Cooper Martinez
No because boxing is decentralised with different promoters. Split between HBO/Showtime/ESPN in the US
Thomas Morris
I can't believe they fucked up at the last hurdle. Everything was going so smoothly
Will these eight consecutive quarter-final shows even have undercards?
Brayden Kelly
Justin DeLoach got stopped last night??
Jace Howard
It should of been sold as 7 shows. 4 shows with 2 quarter finals, 2 shows with 2 semi finals and the final. 14 shows makes the cards too weak and it too spread out for broadcasters. Keep it to UK, Germany, Russia for locations as well.
Jordan Nguyen
Seems like it's a disadvantage for the fighters whose quarter-finals come last too
Leo Richardson
ggg canelo fight gonna be on boxnation?
Jonathan Sullivan
>His style is too awkward for Floyd!
Colton Harris
How much his sparring partners are getting paid to take dives ?
Anthony Moore
they'll have to go through erislandy lara.
Jose Robinson
Unironically a good fight that was so much better then expected.
Which one was the worst? Canelo vs Chavez?
Logan Turner
I don't think so, it's not clear yet. It's listed as 'Live on PPV' on their website and the talk was of PPV with BT maybe coming in when they secured the rights. Saunders vs Monroe is being advertised as BT/boxnation so they can't be bundled together. It will flop on PPV on its own though.
Adam Clark
>Canelo vs Chavez Yes. It had good undercards, but the main was so overwhelmingly one sided. Fuck Canelo for treating the fight like a sparring session.
Tyler Brown
When's Wilder Joshua happening?
Chase Green
Worst was Kovalev vs Ward 2. everything about the ppv was terrible. Good thing I didn't pay for it
Camden Ross
I like Tom Loeffler too tbqh. He tries to make fights happen.
Event of the year, not sure if fight of the year. There's been plenty good action: Chocolatito - Rungvisai, Valdez - Marriaga, Corrales - Castellanos, Spence - Brook
Noah Hill
I doubt Wilder makes it that far. Ortiz, Povetkin or Parker will finish him off first
Benjamin Powell
Joshua is fighting Klitschko in November. Wilder will fight either Ortiz or Stiverne. If he fights Ortiz he may not get out of it with the belt. If Stiverne sues them into fighting as mandatory then he'll win and they'll probably end up fighting in April.
Oliver Walker
Never because Wilder is too scared.
Parker Williams
Is ESPN gonna show the whole Crawford's card Saturday 19th or just Crawford + Gvozdyk + Shakue? I wanna see Dyllan White and Nicholas Walters too
Jason Ramirez
>2 shows with 2 semi finals
ummm
Cooper Cooper
Whyte fight isn't televised I don't think which makes him going to the US for a keep busy fight pointless
Wyatt Jackson
2X Cruiserweight 2X Super Middleweight
Kayden Taylor
>Subscription channel showing one sport launching it's own PPV channel
That will only end in disaster.
Neither Golovkin nor Canelo are big enough in the UK to warrant this fight being PPV here.
Kevin Bailey
It'll be Klitschko, then Pulev, then the WBO champion, then maybe Wilder if he's still relevant
He could potentially leapfrog the WBO champion if he actually beats someone relevant like Ortiz or Povetkin or the WBO champion himself, but he doesn't seem to want to do that. As things stand though, Parker and Hughie have a higher profile in the UK than Wilder and won't demand as much money
Isaiah Edwards
wtf why is Joe Cortez in the sparring ring in full ref uniform??
Owen Roberts
Wilder will take priority over Parker because he can bring in more money through the US market with that fight built right. That's the fight showtime want. Parker is also in a 50/50 fight with Hughie so might not make it that far.
Jaxson Martinez
They paid him to simulate a real fight experience and teach McGregor how to not get disqualified
Oliver Bennett
so Joe just likes wearing the uniform lol?
Hunter Lee
If the fight's in the UK, as it should be, it won't be PPV in the USA and Showtime won't pay more than $3m or so for the license fee. If Parker beats Hughie he will be a bigger draw in the UK than Wilder, plus they could potentially have the fight start late UK time and also put it on PPV in New Zealand (more of a captive audience over there) and they will still undoubtedly get some kind of licensing fee from the States for it
Zachary Kelly
Damn i thought this was a joke but mcgregor is going full leonard... Also what are the chances mayweather compromises and lets the ref be someone like smoger and we see some wild shit?
Nolan Butler
And if Hughie wins then he is probably a higher priority opponent than Wilder too, thanks to his name and nationality. He's not actually with Frank Warren, remember, so despite calling Hearn a cockroach recently he could still probably fight on Sky
Matthew Kelly
Parker vs Hughie is struggling to sell tickets and it's on ITV box office, the winner of that isn't automatically a star because it doesn't matter to casuals. If Parker wins he's fighting Whyte or Bellew next as they already met Eddie and if Hughie wins they've spoke to David Haye. Hughie isn't an exciting fighter and needs to build his reputation. PPV in NZ is irrelevant because it's a small country.
The Wilder fight can be done in Las Vegas and if it isn't it will be because there's more money at Wembley.
Hughie won't be a draw off one win that's going on ITV box office. He's a boring fighter and Parker doesn't have drawing power here yet.
Jaxon Allen
I never said it would make him a star, I just think he's already as much of a known quantity as Wilder in the UK, and if he beats Hughie Fury then that will be something Hearn and Sky can use in promotion, compared to Wilder who has nothing
>The Wilder fight can be done in Las Vegas and if it isn't it will be because there's more money at Wembley.
It will never make more money in the USA than in the UK. No chance
>Hughie won't be a draw off one win that's going on ITV box office. He's a boring fighter and Parker doesn't have drawing power here yet
Any English heavyweight title holder is a draw by default
Samuel Harris
>Golovkin He is international baby . plus he already had the Brook fight over there on ppv
Matthew Stewart
From what I heard Cortez seems like a right uppity cunt and things high of himself for his job
