That's the Securities and Exchange Commission
He's also a mormon

Still one of my favorite memes despite it Notre Dame and Texas's seasons essentially ruining the excitement surrounding that game and its finish. I bet that was deflating as fuck.
>Michigan State

Someone just beat Alabama so I don't have to see them in the fucking playoff again, boring as fuck

Turner Field, now home to Georgia State's football team, has just finished being transformed from a baseball field into a football field.
Looks a little wacky from some angles.
They'll never approach full capacity, of course.
But better than where they played before: a 97% empty Georgia Dome.
a little? some?
Looks fine from this angle, I think.
What a fucking abortion
They'll gradually make it more like a football stadium, I think.
This is just the initial efforts.
>those seats below and behind the main stands on the left

I don't know about you but I'm a big fan of Rotating Analyst

Kornholer hasn't been on MNF for what, a decade?
So I guess thats a yes?
It just wasn't a shocker at this point
But we got the coach that embarrassed y'all week 1 with a G5 school, so things are looking up

My bad, champ
Any advice for someone who roots for the worst team in college football?
>UMass
just don't expect too much
first for Dantonio > Harbaugh
first for Amherst a shit
At least you get to root for the best NFL team
Leaf again from the previous thread, anyone able to give me the lowdown on Washington? games to watch and that sorta thing
It looks off balance. It's triggering my OCD.
>Beth Mowins
Nah, her voice sounds like under lubricated industrial machinery, and she doesn't know a dive play from a zone read.
You should check out Uconn too. Connecticut is well known for its maritime fishing heritage. Uconn is also really good at college hockey and (usually) basketball.
You might be a little disappointed for football admittedly though...
>crossing the border to watch college football
Fairly cucked
look mate, I watch the CFL too, and they don't really play college football where i'm from so not like i have much choice
I'm so fucking tired of this female announcer meme ESPN is pushing, it's infecting baseball now too. Thank God my team never gets Beth games.
I can't believe they're letting her call a NFL game
I mean that game was the Chris Berman special
But still she's the worst commentator in sports
Well I guess she's tied with Pam Ward
obviously the apple cup and the game vs oregon, both of which are home games this year. honestly, after a boring 3-game start to the season, the schedule is all pretty stacked. not sure if you meant games to watch in person or on television, though.
There's plenty of guys that are terrible announcers. I don't think she's a bad announcer BECAUSE she's a woman, but she IS a bad announcer.
definitely TV, I'm a poor ass undergrad so there's no way I can get to the west coast
Of course there are bad male announcers too, but the difference is bad male announcers at least don't have terrible voices that make me want to mute the TV. There are also good male announcers but there isn't a single good female announcer that I've seen so far for baseball or football.
Her voice is so deep for a woman, I legit wonder if she took steroids when she was younger. It's right in that uncanny valley of pitch that's just... unsettling.
I don't really understand why we need female announcers for male sports
That being said she's not knowledgeable about the game and has a horrible voice
I'm not a fan of Doris Burke but she's at least she's knowledgeable about basketball
I want Bill Walton to call a game that I'm watching.
THAT would be entertaining.
in that case, if i had to pick 5 games out to watch,
>@ colorado
>vs cal
>vs oregon
>@ stanford
>vs wsu
I hate the Dave Pasch torture hour
ESPN has been firing tons of talent to save money. That's the main reason they are shoehorning women into more announcing roles, plus they get the bonus of muh diversity muh women in sports.
Walton is an insufferable and overly-political hippy when he steps up onto his soap box; but when he's focused on announcing a game he's a real gem.
God I hate that forced feminism
They couldn't at least get decent females?
I stopped watching the around the horn now that they have shitty female panelists
Jackie is pretty good but the rest aren't worth shit
Week 2 Nebraska at Oregon predictions?
Nebraska pile drives Oregon.
Taggert wasn't a GREAT coach, he just had a great team at USF.
His first year there, and changing so much of how the offense works... it won't be good.
Nebraska is always good though.
>Nebraska is always good though.
They went 6-7 in 2015. Not always a reliable team. They have talent but just want to fuck up at certain points, especially road games. So I'm thinking Oregon squeaks it out.
2015 was Riley's first year, and he still made a bowl and won it.
I think Nebraska is still in an upward trajectory under him. Or at a minimum, have plateaued.
Getting BTFO by tOSU and Iowa is an upward trajectory?
Also Riley spent 12 seasons at Oregon state, so he's very familiar with the foe--and he's got a better team to work with now.
Losses to quality teams and a 9-4 season is not a bad outcome for 2016. Sure, plenty of room for improvement, but hardly anything to be upset about.
Good on you for following a Pac 12 team.
You'll get to take part in some comfy Pac 12 After Darkā¢ posting. That's always fun.
Nebraska barely beat Oregon last year at home and the Ducks can't possibly be shittier this year than they were in 2016
Why did Ohio State get a slot. That shit bothered me so much =(
>the Ducks can't possibly be shittier this year than they were in 2016
Because 1 loss > 2 loss, and Ohio State has more fans, which means more viewers and more money (if you're into conspiracies).
IF we had an 8 team playoff with an at large bid, Ohio State would have certainly gotten in with an at large and played Alabama in game 1. Which might have been fun, or we might have watched them get shut out again. Who knows.
Yeah it will be a big trap game for us since you'll be 3-2 when we meet ;)
They beat Ohio State and won the big ten championship
Penn State got robbed
They wouldn't give Baylor or tcu a slot cuz big12 didn't declare a champion then change their opinion the next season.
Do people even remember that Notre Dame had like 4 starters suspended for that game
...
>Penn State got robbed
I absolutely agree. And watching anOSU get completely shut out, followed by Penn State putting on one of the best games of the year in the Rose Bowl just reinforces it.
A year or 2 more of that kind of shenanigans will really start having people clambering for an 8 team playoff.
Their offense will be better. They have a good QB, a more experienced line and a really good runningback. The defense can only go up and they hired the defensive coordinator who turned Colorado's defense from garbage to Pac 12 South champions. Obviously that kind of turnaround won't happen in one year but it's dumb to act like Nebraska will blow them out when they easily could have lost to them last year.
I like Herbstreit when he isn't shilling for whatever team or player that has caught his fancy and thinks is in some sort of unknown niche. When he's just calling the game as is he's head and shoulders better than most active commentators
just my opinion.
Nice friendly reminder.
4 team is the format for like two more years, unfortunately
Just got a ticket to my lone college game this year: northwestern v Michigan State
Might try to go to Wisconsin/Minnesota if I can get the weekend off
We'll see, I don't really have a dog in the fight. But I think a first year head coach at Oregon vs a Nebraska program that's on the rise won't end well for the Ducks.
I fucking hate Ohio State (and I'm happy that their basketball team is only good enough for NIT nowadays)
This triggers me so hard
how can you hate Ohio State? it's such a nice place to be and the team is so delightful.
I like a shitty team that always loses to buckeyes
And their fans are obnoxious drunk inbreds
>losing a game 49-10
lol
>31-0
So I'm thinking about going to Morgantown to watch ECU play WVU this fall. It's not TOO far from me.
Is it really as bad as they say it is? It's a noon game.
Will I survive?
If WVU loses, they'll rage hard, destroy things, and you could get hurt
If WVU wins, they'll rage hard, destroy things, and you could get hurt
I know all the memes, but it it REALLY that bad? Or is it blown out of proportion?
>I don't want to get pelted with batteries
To be fair, both teams should've been out of the playoffs, because of that game (49-10) and OSU getting upset by them.
God I tell you what though, so much shit talking was had when they lost. There was a big event in my city (non-football related) and those faggots lost during it. Triggered OSU fans got kicked out of a bar in FUCKING OHIO
HAHAHAHAHAHA
it was a difficult month for Ohioans.
>tfw wanted UT to go above and beyond because I went there for a bit
At least Kareem Hunt and one or two others got drafted. That was the only consolation prize.
This season will be the redemption storyline for the Ohio teams which will lead up to the finale when they all win their bowl games.
>this shithole hosted the Olympics just 21 years ago
and you still lost to an extremely mediocre Texas team
Pic related got an A- in one of those sham UNC classes.
>I overpaid for my degree instead of going to community college for 1/10 the price and actually trying
This is why Chinese students are gonna take over
Seriously, anything short of UNC losing the 2005 will make the NCAA look more like a sham than it already is.
>There are Americans out there who seriously believe a $100,000 education is automatically ten times more education than a $10,000 one.
Stupid bastards.
I went to community college and make 80k a year with no debt
I seriously don't understand the stigma
It's perception. More often than not if an employer has equally qualified candidates they will pick the one with the same degree from a University as opposed to a CC.
That's not true in my field
>rewarding Rhythmic Slapping U
>ever again
I don't think so Tim
They earned it though
Is it safe to come out?
How far the mighty have fallen
a guy in the last thread was talking about the best games to watch. he listed 3 games and one was the apple cup. why is wsu vs uw on his list? i'm a wsu fan myself so I get the rivalry but it seems like they are usually so mismatched.
