All I know is disgustingly un-funny le first post response

THIS IS A SLIDE ATTEMPT

REPORT THE SHILLS
DO NOT RESPOND WITHOUT SAGE!!!!!
Will the shilling ever end?

i'm pretty sure "orthodoxy" in that image refers to the actual meaning of the word, ie, "traditional", and not actually the religion of eastern christianity

The actual meaning of the word is how the Orthodox Church uses it.

no it isn't, actually

in religion, orthodoxy refers to orthodoxy vs heresy, the "correct" system of belief vs the "incorrect" one. since the eastern christians still identify as catholic (universal doctrine) they are only using it in the sense of calling western christians (roman catholics) heretics, due to the schism

you're a nicenean christian, so i understand why you're retarded :)

We consider our Church to be both Catholic and Orthodox. The RCC is technically neither.

Faith? Sure, but not for your Abrahamic slave religions.

Hahah.

orthodox in the sense i just explained, you view roman catholics as heretics

your op image is a commentary on progressivism vs traditionalism, nothing to do with faith

>Faith? Sure, but not for your Abrahamic slave religions.
Then for neo-paganism?

The RCC believes in dogma that has "progressed" over the last thousand years, the Orthodox believe dogma is and only is what Christ personally expressed to his disciples.

>nothing to do with faith
I also ask you, what other alternative is there to relativism than faith?

Actually is the best post, sadly.

Pretty sure Chesterton (a Catholic) said something similar to the OP pic

>I also ask you, what other alternative is there to relativism than faith?
i agree with this

i'm just making the point that you're using that image wrong

Fuck off Jew

>denounces abrahamic religion
>jew

hmm my id is changing for some reason :|

didn't do this on purpose pls no ban mods

>using multiple IDs to sockpuppet
>insulting Christianity

The image was made by a Christian poster espousing Christianity.

insulting nicenean christianity, user

i'm gnostic christian

i love my brothers in christ, but i pray that they stop following the creed of the antichrist

Do you usually post with an Australian ID by any chance?

Albigensian Crusade best Crusade by the way

>Christ's coming is predicted in the old testament in detail
>reject the old testament as the devil;'s work

always american

>Albigensian Crusade best Crusade by the way
rude :(

there are hidden truths everywhere

i learned only recently, first hand, that demons will speak the truth if it means promoting a greater lie

bruhhh I'm Orthodox but the fact that we can't figure out how to hold a Synod even though it's been in discussion for years now is a little silly. Just book a conference room in Vegas and call it good.

That's what you get with primus inter pares, almost like you need someone to be in charge :^)

We've know that for 2000 years. That's what we consider Gnosticism to be.

The synod's agenda is terrible, that it can't be held is God's will. It was originally an attempt at an Orthodox version of Vatican II, but it got watered down over time due to so many objections, and now Bulgaria refuses to even participate.

You want a synod, hold one in God's will, not one to try to make the Church more current year.

user, we're not the one's who threaten others with fear

we're not the ones that destroy knowledge and suppress learning

we're not the ones that massacre fellow brothers in christ

if you think such behavior makes you holy, you are mistaken

>We've know that for 2000 years
and btw there's is a difference between knowing something, and believing something

i paraphrase aristotle here: the difference betwen knowledge and belief is that knowledge is something you can verify as truth

being told something by a man who lectures you to control you is not knowledge

i understand what we've "known" for 2000 years, but i KNOW it now because i experienced it directly
