Double Nickels on the Dime is not, at all, a hardcore album, but it gets called a hardcore album because the Minutemen were, at one point, a hardcore group, and on some songs you can hear some, just a bit, of that influence. The same goes for the Fragile. Trent has made ambient, and there are some ambient influences, but it's not an ambient album at all.
