Ligue 1

How do we fix this?

more Nermans

Forbid shit country who cant train youngsters to steal ours like england

Honestly though, for a player like Neymar who is well known everywhere in the world, he just went to a league that barely anyone watches. We need to make this league far more interesting

You can't. It will always be shit

>Ligue 1 Conforama
APOLOGIZE

It wasn't always shit though, it used to have former world-class clubs like Marseille and Lyon. Idk wtf happened to those though, they're p shit now. Now there's Nice too.

Nobody watched Ligue 1 Conforama because there wasn't enough Nermans.
My post looks ironic but in reality, Ligue 1 Conforama wasn't really attractive because it lacked a world star player.
Nerman is a world star player, but also a genius. I truly think PSG can bring home the UCL this season, and thus increase the prestige of Ligue 1 Conforama.
Speaking about the quality of the league, if Mbappé stays, it will be really, really interesting.

Do you believe that one world-class player like him will actually make the whole league more popular? I kinda hope that Ligue 1 would become more known, since it has some good teams and some teams that have been good at some point.

Bringing Nerman is a (good) Qatari move
the other 19 clubs can't even hold on to their best french player, so that's the major problem tbqh

Lyon are good now, absolute Pleb

I guess

BUT IT COULD BE BETTER

some more arabian money i guess

These few years are going be pretty hard tho, they are kinda rebuilding

do nothing, it's getting better. sugar daddies are investing a lot now

I dunno why, but I've always wanted to see Marseille come back to the top. I guess it's not very likely, I would really want to see it happen.

They have a good crop of youth players

they can do somethin this season, at least finishin 3rd is not impossible

Good to hear, maybe I'll actually be watching some of their games.

For sure, it's the best football academy in France.
It just might take some time after they sold Lacaz, Tolisso and long time C, Gonalon

As for Marseille, I have mixed feelings for now tbqh, not sure what their future plan is, because for now they signed lots of "old" players

Yes I truly think it's good for the whole Ligue. For example now Caen will be full vs. PSG, people will come for other games, etc.
And it will encourage people to watch the Ligue, its TV rights will go up, trickling down on small clubs. That's why the La Liga Santander has money, because of Messi and Ronaldo
If Nerman delivers, wins an UCL, it will bring money for all the clubs. Amiens has 20m € budget but when TV rights are more expensive they could double that.

Yeah like Evra and Payet, they're not gonna be very good for very long. Maybe just a couple of seasons now, if that.

hmmm old players are essential, there must be every generations in a team to be good

Oh yeah true, fans from other towns will be happy to see a superstar like Neymar play against their clubs.

I know I'll be watching the league more now for sure.

Upfront, they are pretty stacked (Germain 10/10 imo)
Defense is kinda old (+Rami), slow so hope they improve this area soon

Yeah when PSG plays away most of the stadium are full unlike less popular games

>Lyon with Pep Genesio
>Good

I have nothing against "old" players, on the contrary, but not too much

but i will unironically go to see my local team get destroy by nerman and i want this to happen

>I truly think PSG can bring home the UCL this season.

Bow the fuck down to the NERMANATOR burger

All the teams look the same, filled with Africans that you can't tell the difference between.

They would have gone through if not for they're shitty Full Backs last year

I'm looking at you Kurzawa

Old players are good, but they're not around for long. I think the old players Marseille have now are good for them.

Maybe not this season, but I'm 100% sure PSG starts to deliver soon in Europe too. They are going to win the French league for sure, no way Monaco will win it this season, since most of their players have been bought.

Why do you keep buying them though?

for me, it's Dijon FCO

>wtf happened to those though

I'll tell you what happened :
All the leagues bought our best players because the taxes are insane in France. Only PSG can afford with the same economical model like English and Spanish club.
Also, Spanish league built their league with Credits and debts. In France it's forbidden.

That's a bit shitty desu, I hope some of the french clubs can manage to become bigger somehow and compete

This

psg unironically made you into cuckoldry

>most

The only important one who left is Silva. Mendy and Bakayoko are overrated and replaceable, only Bonglish clubs are mad enough to spend 100 fucking millions to buy them.
They kept MBarp, Lemar, Falcao, Glick, they'll be strong again this season.

i'm just realistic.

i can be ok for Bakayoko but not Mendy

kek

french people will be watching psg play their team

>yes mister nerman destroy my club

I hope so, Monaco was a really fun team to watch last season in CL. They played very nice football.

you should watch Nice too.

Bakayoko, definitely. The other two ? Hard to replace desu

Ligue 1 (and France) has good players in its own, but the problem is that they go in England, Italy or Spain when they get great (Benzema, Pogba, Lloris, Mendy, Giroud, Lacazette, they all did this).

With PSG (and Monaco) moves bringing players from outside, It becomes more balanced and we have talents here. Even if they come for a year and go a year after. And sometimes, a player is bought in France, but for big amounts of money reinvested

The main mistake Lyon did in the 2000 was to buy almost all their players from Ligue 1 for low prices. No concurrency so no money and no level, even with one of the best teams of the last decade.

Mbappé and Lemar will leave next week m8.

Oh yeah the fact that they have Balotelli is a reason enough for me to watch them

Lmao, please dont tell me Lemar is going to Arsenal, after they were rejected about a thousand times

If Mbappe leaves though, it's a shame. I think he should stay in Monaco for at least one or two more seasons.

>All the leagues bought our best players because the taxes are insane in France.

Keep telling yourself that.

The main reason isnt the money, not everyone is a gold digger. They leave because : the other leagues are better (the improved paycheck is just a bonus), and we have that weird mentality where if you dont leave L1 at some point, you will always be an underachiever.

And yeah, its better to play in Southampton or whatever on a great pitch with a full stadium than in Lyon in an empty brand new arena.

Agreed. Only a few clubs can make significant investment.
I do hope more moves are made to to make the smaller club profit (like the Monaco-Rennes deal for Diakhaby?)

It's more like "I come to watch what can my team do against an ogre" with the hope that the ogre becomes Goliath.

I agree, Mbappé must learn and gain more experience. He's only 18, he can't wrestle with guys like Aguero, Di Maria or Benzema.

The boy is smart, he knows all that. And the next year he will be worth 200M€ if he does the same season.

>And yeah, its better to play in Southampton or whatever on a great pitch with a full stadium than in Lyon in an empty brand new arena.

More like Mbappé will have a pay raise next week. There is no reason yet to quit. He's comfy at his club, will play against Nerman, can easily prove himself against small teams and score plenty, will play the UCL, while at Madrid he knows he's likely to be perma-benched.
And it's a season before a WC, that means he can't take too much risks

>emptyhad
>emptyrates

These. If he moves to fuckin Real Madrid this transfer window, he will be benched for sure. Because of that, he might end up in the bench in the World Cup aswell. If he stays in Monaco and keeps doing what he is doing, he will could make it in the starting 11 in the world cup. Or that's what I believe, it might sound like too much.

afaik Real Madrid almost never gives their chances to very young players. It could be Mbappé or whoever with insane skill, they always prefer experienced and proven 25+ years old players.
Mbappé obviously knows this, that's why he probably will stay at least this season.

reminder that Olympique Marseille (the club from one of the shittiest cities in the EU) is STILL to this day the only French club to have ever won the Champions League

explain yourselves, Frenchies

Marseille is truly the greatest team

France has less money to invest in football and higher taxes, so all our great youngster leave championship to help the ones from spain italy england and germany, there were more french players last years in CL team squads than any other country.

with Macron you now finally have a pro-business president, so maybe he will bring down your tax rates to a civilized level

Oh you must feel good about that one Hans, good fucking one

J U S T

i don't think it was ironic or intended to be funny

I'm serious

pls don't tell me you fell for the socialist Hollande or Le Pen meme

i think your league needs a nerman too

so does ours desu

I don't buy the R banker either

O N E T E A M

bernard tapie was their president, he's known to bribe everybody.

Marseille has a new owner now though, I think. Some American guy who wasn't very liked idk

Frank McCourt, the guy who managed to bankrupt the Dodgers. In MLB, the second highest revenue sports league in the world.
Yeah, he's that bad.

LA Dodgers owner, not a good record.
I think the more important thing now is the management. They went really bad under Labrune. He sold so many good players for basically nothing

Marseille has always been unmanageable. This club and city are mafia-ridden permashitstorms.

The only one who ever successed at managing them did so because he was himself a master-crook.

So yeah, every now and then they can have a good year, but it never lasts as everything is built on sand.

This.
Mafia influence is indeed huge
