I would put Kane fourth.
Malkin has a way better ppg, but then again, he does play C and Kane plays RW.
If Malkin is hot, I think he has potential to be the best player in the world. He's not always consistent though.

As a Penguins fan, I would take Malkin over Ovechkin if I was starting a franchise, but that's mainly because he is a center and Ove plays right wing. But, if I'm trying to be unbiased, Ove's ceiling was so incredibly high and as a pure goal scorer, he's going to go down as one of the two or three greatest. Ove's performed pretty well in the playoffs, and it's difficult for a single right wing to carry to be responsible for the whole team...
In fact, a Russian magazine just did a ranking and had Malkin as the greatest Russian player of all time. Interesting.
