Part of the 10 volume Collection series. Studio improvisations with Kiyoshi Mizutani manipulated and mixed with new recordings at Merzbow's home studio. This is the 2013 vinyl reissue.
The additional tracks from the vinyl edition of Merzbient ("Nov 89", "Rubber Strings" and "Denon HD 54 B"), the rest are the same or edits from the CD edition and aren't included. "RBA Max2" is just the untitled track from CD2 and "Variation for Electric Fan" is the same as the cassette from 2011, so neither are included. "Nov 89" is different from the "Untitled Nov 1989" cassette and is included.
Final part of the Merzcow trilogy started in 2011 with Kamadhenu and Surabhi. The label became inactive before releasing Goloka, which ended up as Merzbow's part of Gensho with Boris (with "Prelude to a Broken Arm" being recorded to make up the length). When the label owner wanted to finish the trilogy, Gensho was already in production, so Gomata was recorded as a replacement and is much harsher as opposed to preceding volumes.
Three musicians (including Koji Nakamura of Supercar) played synths and electronics and then each did their own own mix of the materials. This trio played live together using the term "hardcore ambient", which is the best description of this album.
Requesting any of these Merzbow albums: Lowest Music Vol. 1 (reissued on subscribers editions of Lowest Music & Arts 1980-1983), Lowest Music.2 (reissued by Urashima), Remblandt Assemblage (complete album reissued by Urashima), Dual(i)thm, Level (split with Askew), A History of Self (split with Berserk), or Biorhythm (split with Odor)

Okay this is the last time we post this here . It's a music sharing server but it's behind a locked channel that unlocks the more you interact with the server . Unlike here where people get butthurt and start reporting links ( fuck you for getting my three accounts closed for stuff from defunct labels really nice). If you just want to leech and not talk don't bother joining. Invite discord.gg/y9Tm9sE nice

This is so fucking random, and as a part-Polish dude I really appreciate this. Awesome idea to just mix two country's histories together through their music.
Not in Japanese no. Still working on exploring the genre.

Ooh well in any language if it makes me that happy! Haha

I can throw out some youtube links that are music I would consider to make myself feel happier, from a bunch of different styles of music. Digest them at your own leisure.
My God. I didn't know I ever wanted this. Watching that live performance of them doing typical J-Pop/Idol fare, with the fusion of shoegaze, makes for a sweet, fun, and dreamy combination. Not to mention they all sing, so the changes in vocalists throughout the song works out very well and gives it a little extra dimension. They all look like they're having fun performing with warm shoegaze in the background. I envy them. This music definitely isn't for everyone, but for those who click with it, it's delicious. Thanks for the share, OP! I never would have found this music group, especially since their name is so silly. I'll be sure to buy their album if I continue to like what I hear.
Thanks for this, I remember he played on Focus con Proby. Wish I still had that.

Merzbow - Merzzow (2002) >noise
Prog rock and modern classical loops. The album title is because the riff in "Elephant Song" resembles the Japanese children's song "Zou-san" (Mr. Elephant)! youtube.com/watch?v=rEsNUJp9dcM
Based on rock samples and breaks. Unlike the earlier Aqua Necromancer, Merzbeat is mostly built on clean guitar and drum loops without much manipulation or distortion, and the drum breaks are much more prominent.
