NATO announced that if a NATO member country becomes the victim of a cyber attack by persons in a non-NATO country such as Russia or China, the “collective defense” provision requires each NATO member country to join that NATO member country if it decides to strike back against the attacking country.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has warned that major cyber attacks might now be classified as a “case for the alliance” which they would respond to militarily using conventional warfare.
I read somewhere this AM that the Russians hacking into Hillary's e-mail server could be considered an act of war and NATO could respond with conventional responses.
Sounds like a mighty high profile threat coming from the Hillary election campaign, "Release the hacked videos before the election and we will sick NATO on you!"
