its what gives it character, makes it unique and fun to listen to
there are no fronts when it comes to this record, sly's vocals were recorded from his bed, the band was fighting, and they were trying to send a message. its meant to sound exactly as it does
imo its one of my favorite records of all time

How in the good goddamn is the Bowie mix more listenable than the Iggy mix? I don't care how authentic it is, I care that Iggy's '97 mix is better as music and not half as trebly, thin and weak as Bowie's.

How can you not tell the shitty production on Deathconsciousness? I would agree that the fact that it isn't professionally done helps the overall mood but you literally can't hear the vocals at many points throughout the album because of the buckets of reverb poured on the mix

when you mix the singles with other rap, you always have to add gain and treble to bring it up to standard.
