idk I'm not that insecure

if I wanna go down memory lane I'd play Fall Out Boy, Boys Like Girls, Lady Gaga... the list goes on

Loved me some blue october when I was 8, I listened to pretty much anything my older brother was.

Hehe i was just relistening to some of the punk rock bands of the 00s and dear god some of them are really really bad

You're either born a patrician or you're not, anyone who has ever liked shit music should just give up now.

I was too intelligent for bands when I was little.

None

Korn
Breaking Benjamin
Disturbed
Within Temptation
Three Days Grace
Killswitch Engage

snapcase
earth crisis
strife
vegan reich

t. gleaming autismal wreck

muse, even their early stuff is kind of embarrassing. i don't mind a couple of their tracks.

MCR

Limp Bizkit
Uncle Cracker
Slipknot
AFI
Puddle of Mud

I was gonna say Black Eyed Peas, but I really dig that new track.

youtube.com/watch?v=1EC8lBwroOc

If anything, I think the bands/artists I like now are more cringe worthy.

Killswitch are still fun. They were never as emo or melodramatic as the bands they toured with. Solid songwriters.

Seether, 311, and FUCKTONS of video game music and anime openings.
>early years of high school
>one of the class assignments was for everyone to play a song they enjoyed for the class and we would analyze the lyrics and stuff after
>I play the first opening of Soul Eater because I fucking loved that show
>whole class sits silent while it's playing and after
>teachers say nothing
I wince every time I think about it.
I was a huge autist in high school.

>311
Get the fuck outta here

My ex fucking LOVED AFI and Jack Off Jill.
I miss her.

death grips

It gets worse, I only listened to their greatest hits album.
I still put it on every now and then because it takes me right back.

Artists get cringier the deeper we go into music, we're just too deluded by the notion of good taste.

No shame, larp ultras, panki hoi
youtu.be/Yz-8t31EzfQ

311 is still great

INVESTIGATE 311

...

>Arctic Monkeys
>Foals
>Led Zeppelin
>Gorrilaz
>Nirvana
>Eminem
The only artist I don't still like is Eminem tbqh

>the black eyed peas
>dragonforce
>pitbull

Arctic Monkeys are great, Zeppelin is a GOAT, everything else is pretty trash.

>JNCO

that's a great album cover

Kino.

lmao dragon force. used to listen to them a lot a WoW lan parties. mid 2000s, what a time to be alive

>not waking the fallen

shut up MTV faggot

I have nostalgia goggles so I can't speak objectively but the consensus of Sup Forums is that they're terrible.
I never thought of them as an amazing work of art, but their music os nice to my ears.

Unholy Confessions was on MTV. It doesn't hold up.

>Foo Fighters
>Green Day
>Offspring (the bad songs)
>Nickelback
>Daugherty

...

>Daughtry
How did you get into him? His music was so boring.
Not even bad, just extremely boring. Like the musical equivalent of a saltine cracker.

but i like saltine crackers user

>Streetlight Manifesto
>Mad Caddies
>The Aquabats
>pretty much any third wave ska band

Gorillaz
Eminem

And loads of other garbage I don't remember

Eminem is alright, hold your head up pal. But if you're still bumping some of the shit he puts out now...

fuck you

I HOPE YOU KNOW I PACK A CHAINSAW

These are all great bands. Especially streetlight 2bh.

They're excellent in tomato soup or with peanut butter but don't tell me you eat that shit plain.
Streetlight Manifesto are great.
Nice quads, Gorillaz are fantastic, but the Fall and Humanz were fucking terrible. But self titled, Demon Days and Plastic Beach are incredibly solid.

>Reel Big Fish

FUCKYOUFUCKYOUFUCKYOUFUCKYOU
WHY MUST YOU REMIND ME REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Ayyy did you listen to The Urge at all?

This is good shit though

youtu.be/OGwy86kK0JU

Answer me you nigger

Never did.
I'm not saying Streetlight is bad necessarily. I just listened to them a lot when I was 15 years old and listening to them now gives me a weird mix of nostalgia and embarrassment.
RBF will NEVER be good

Korn, disturbed, foo fighters, breaking Benjamin, metallica, three days grace

Iron Maiden is the only band I can't listen to anymore because of how objectively bad they are 。

I listened almost exclusively to Rush in high school. Not super cringy, but I was really autistic about it

>Death Cab for Cutie
>Interpol
>The Strokes
>The Postal Service
>MCR
>Good Charlotte :(
I was an emotional child.

...

animal collective

>muse
>gorillaz
>a bunch of house music
>sublime
>nirvana
>emo music
>most old school punk, and punk in general

I get annoyed if I look at the clock and see 3:11 because I'm reminded of that shit band

Alestorm

>RBF will NEVER be good
Now that's just a bad opinion. They're a fun band to listen to. There's nothing amazing about them but they aren't bad.

Dragonforce and weeb anime openings were pretty much the only shit I listened to until I turned 18
I also listened to Devo when I was young but I'm glad I did

Sum 41, Green day, Nirvana, Dragonforce, Foo fighters

youtube.com/watch?v=P4-732dLRCw
I unironically listened to skindred in high school. Plz no bully. Skindred is so fucking cringe.

She Wants Revenge
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
The Kills
The White Stripes

Tool
Chevelle
Motograter
Mushroom Head

Shit thread, how about
>bands you used to listen to that you at one point found cringey during your early adult years when you were trying too hard to be "mature" that youve now learned how to appreciate again once youve finally stopped judging the music you listen based off the subconscious desire to have other people think youre cool for enjoying it
All of numetal, especially SlipKnot
DragonForce
Most rap
Anime OP/ED
Radiohead

Or, better yet
>music that you used to like that you thought was the real deal and meant you had superior taste only to realize later that its mostly garbage that cares too much about image and not enough about substance
Every thrash band, minus Metallica
Virtually all of metal, minus the progenitors of whatever genre you're into
The above is true for EDM
Most rappers
Every band that describes itself as "prog" or "progressive", no exceptions (if described by others, acceptable)
Anything with the word core in its genre description

Corny, yeah. But very fun when you listen to it ironically.

Machine Head

My biggest loves growing up we're CAKE and rammstein as well as destiny's child. And I don't feel ashamed and still listen to them when I feel like it. I guess my only guilty pleasure is effeil 65 but duck it there's some fucking huts on there

Cake is music kino.

>jesus wrote a blank check guitar starts playing

>CAKE
Muh nigga. I listened to them a shitload in high school but when I found Sup Forums and expanded my music taste I kinda fell out of love with them.
Then recently I started listening to them again and it gives me a good hit of nostalgia. Pretty great.

What did yall think of showroom of compassion? Mustache man is pretty jammin but I thought it was a bit disappointing. When are they gonna release a new album?

mostly just Nightwish
>le opera metal

my bloody valentine

> when that opening to frank Sinatra or opera singer starts
Yea I'm huge into industrial and electronic music now and probably forever but duck I'll jam some pressure chief or fashion nugget in between. Lots of nostalgia.
It was calming and good but doesn't have the lasting power of like comfort eagle.

Damn. You just reminded me that I used to listen to Ayreon and Nightwish. Fuck.

>pressure chief
Muh nigga. I always thought that that album was one of their more underrated by fans. It's my favorite CAKE album honestly.

this made me think unironically
>bands you used to listen to that you at one point found cringey during your early adult years when you were trying too hard to be "mature" that youve now learned how to appreciate again once youve finally stopped judging the music you listen based off the subconscious desire to have other people think youre cool for enjoying it
I do this alot :(

Me too. So many great songs even wheels is such a great opener. Palm of your hand and baskets on the wall is so melancholic.

most metal

I'm 29.

CAKE is such a great band.

I love their country song covers with jazz elements still.

Prolonging the Magic was probably my favorite album from them.

I unironically listened to Hopsin back in 2010

>Sublime
>Nirvana
>cringy

ok ok ok ok ok

>actually thinking this instead of growing a deeper appreciation for their production as you get older

Breaking Benjamin are still okay. Well, at least Saturate.
Slipknot's first three albums are good though.
>seether
Damn.
Literally nothing wrong with Arctic Monkeys first three albums and, Nirvana or Gorrilaz.
Still some good stuff on this record. They didn't truly become bad until post-self titled.
>implying foo fighters have nothing good
>implying green day weren't good up until American Idiot
Woah, we got a cool kid in here.

Literally ever thinking cowboy bebop was good is the biggest sin of my life

What's wrong with Bebop?

shit band. great album art.

>implying its cringe
only if youre an westerndebil

Everything. Basically boring shit that starts nowhere and leads nowhere. Fags defend it as #2deep4u

nightwish

...

System of a Down
Rage Against the Machine
Nirvana
Led Zeppelin
Deep Purple

...

lol no

this
Korn is good
early Slipknot is good
the black eyed peas and pitbull are much more listenable than most emo though
>Still some good stuff on this record. They didn't truly become bad until post-self titled.
Their best album is Hail To The King.
