You're nothing. You're no artist.
This doesn't sound like the laid-back attitude of a true deadhead, or indeed of any adult with any self-confidence whatsoever when he is addressing himself to some kid assuredly 40 years his junior. I don't think you like the dead at all!
Fuck you I walked bob Dylan up on stage. I know about art more than you do. You don't even know how to respect the sanctity of silence
Kinda funny that Jerr played Dylan's songs better than he could
Don't talk about things you don't understand kid. Go back to music school. Maybe you'll get TALENT
Heroin is one hell of a drug
YOU HAVE NO TALENT
you're a mediocuh piece a shit. you can't even play
no oawtist
It's a meme among 'heads, but that run of shows in May-June of '77 is just nasty.
Any show with a decent Weather Report Suite does it for me, so I listen to a lot of 73-74 shows.
>Shows that stand out
My first and last show.
First was 1987 at Alpine Valley
Last was Jerry's Last show in Chicago.
Also in spring of 1989 two days after a three day run in Chicago they played two nights at The Mecca in Milwaukee. Those were good shows, too.
My favorite Dead live albums right here:

Also, does anyone else have the annotated lyrics? I love this book. It's even better when you start writing in the chords and other little bits of info you've learned about the songs.

Did that make you a touchhead?
Deadhead born into a family of deadheads here (mom toured with them for like 20 yrs" hit up bt.etree.org
I have a handful of books and the website is great too really cool stuff
I dont have any super rare bootlegs since i lost a bunch of storage drives but i have a huge amount of dicks picks and some box sets that i could share if anyone wants something in particular
Any other books you would recommend? The annotated lyrics is all I have.
A lot of it comes down to taste but my favorites have been "Dark Star: An Oral Biography of Jerry Garcia" "Garcia : An American Life" and "Jerry on Jerry: The Unpublished Jerry Garcia Interviews" the latter of which comes in audio as well as a recording of the interview. On the off chance this thread is still up tomorrow I can call my mother up and see if the has recommendations because she was truly a deadhead. I would also recommend some of these documentaries that have been coming out. I think one was on netflix and the other is a series on amazon. I haven't gotten around to watching the amazon one but the netflix one is interesting and very emotional.
Really though there area good amount available right now so cruising through amazon or a bookstone you're bound to fine something that piques your interest. There are probably too many interesting stories to tell about that time period to ever publish them all.
Anthem of the Sun kicks ass. Great psychedelic wankery.
I agree fullheartedly
Best band that's ever been or ever will be; easily my favorite show might be either 9/3/77 or the radio city acoustic shows they did for the Reckoning album. Pure magic on all of those dates.
China Cat Sunflower (Taking Woodstock) version is my favourite song besides Friend of the Devil. Just absolutely fucking great.
The're amazing live so sad I'll never get to see them.
go see DSO or Dead & Company
Actually, In The Dark was released two weeks after my first show.
Other than Truckin' Sugar Mag. and Casey Jones, I wasn't really familiar with their music. A friend had an extra ticket, and the person that was gonna go with them bailed, so they took me instead. Loved the whole experience immediately.
I like In The Dark, but I really gravitate towards the Pig Pen years.
Nice shoop, BTW.
Grandpa user, tell us some stories of your tour years!
Favorite Europe 72 show?
It’s been 5/26/72 for me for the longest time, now I’m feeling 4/8/72. 4/26/72 is never far off. I still think these are some of the greatest ever. Also that at least 4 of the Dark Stars from this tour are best-ever.
Also daily reminder to listen to 11/30/80.
