WHEN I WAS A YOUNG BOY

MY FATHER TOOK ME INTO THE CITY TO SEE A MARCHING BAND

Famous Last Words is the best track

MAMA
WE ALL GO TO HELL

its fucking sick but you gotta give it to disenchanted or teenagers

You mean Disenchanted.

This album hurts to listen to again as an adult

Welcome to the black parade makes me cry, reminds me of my cousin that passed from muscular dystrophy. That was his gab song and was played at his funeral.

uh [insert funny joke here to make light of death and trauma] am i right guys?

this but unironically

That's not The Sharpest Lives

Well it actually is about the reaper coming to you in passing

Nah, that'd be the segue from The End to Dead.
G O D T I E R

WIPE OFF THAT MAKE-UP

WHAT'S IN IS DESPAIR

SO THROW ON THE BLACK DRESS

MIXED-IN WITH THE LOT

HE SAID SON WHEN

A YOUNG BOY

Is it Sup Forumscore?

YOU MIGHT WAKE UP AND NOTICE YOU'RE SOMEONE YOU'RE NOT

should be

Yes.

IF YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU SEE

YOU CAN FIND OUT FIRSTHAND WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE ME

SO GATHER 'ROUND PIGGIES
AND KISS THIS GOODBYE

I'D ENCOURAGE YOUR SMILES
I'LL EXPECT YOU WON'T CRY

ANOTHER CONTUSION
MY FUNERAL JAG

HERE'S MY RESIGNATION
I'LL SERVE IT IN DRAG

YOU'VE GOT FRONT-ROW SEATS TO THE PENITENCE BALL

WHEN I GROW UP I WANT TO BE NOTHING AT ALL

COME ON COME ON COME ON

AND

SAAAAAAAAAVEE MEEEE

GET ME THE HELL OUT OF HERE

SO HAAAAAAAAAAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWS THAT YOU'RE DE-E-EAAAD?

I thought you only listened to Chvrches

AT THE END OF THE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORLD

don't remember that one..

Probably because that track is from Three Cheers.

WELL THEY ENCOURAGE YOUR COMPLETE COOPERATION

prepare to cry

Best song is the bonus track tbqhwy

GIVE YOU ROSES WHEN THEY THINK YOU NEED TO SMILE

I CAN'T CONTROL MYSELF BECAUSE
I
DON'T
KNOW
HOW

NOW I KNOW

hey guys.

This album was an amazing turning point for all punk/emo music and I really don't think anyone here can argue that.

AND THEY LOVE ME FOR IT

HONESTLY

>What is American Idiot

I got this album when I was in the 5th grade. Made me go through the emo phase early, though it wasnt full blown. All the emo babes loved it and I loved them, I used to think that look was so cool. When I was bored I would listen to this and Three cheers while in Habbo Hotel, and that's how I got introduced to this website. Definatley a land mark album in my musically journey. Anyone feel similar?

I'LL BE HERE FOR A WHILE SO GIVE THE
BLOOD
BLOOD
GALLONS OF THE STUFF

GIVE THEM ALL THAT THEY CAN DRINK AND IT'LL NEVER BE ENOUGH

shut the fuck up god damn

SO GIVE THE
BLOOD
BLOOD
BLOOOOOOOOOOD
GRAB A GLASS BECAUSE THERE'S GOING TO BE A FLOOD

I agree

Disenchanted was my favorite as a high schooler and it's definitely my runner up now

WELL I WAS THERE ON THE DAY

Similar-ish.
I made a point of hating literally all music until the age of 12 (I was a weird kid). That year, I happened to catch the WTTBP video on tv by chance, and I was totally enthralled. The music made me feel things I had never felt before. The next week or so I got the album and was similarly enthralled by it. They were my fav band up until about 17.

I don't listen to MCR all that much these days, but I can never dislike them. They were well-and-truly my musical awakening.

THEY SOLD THE CAUSE FOR THE QUEEN

AND WHEN THE LIGHTS ALL WENT OUT

WE WATCHED OUR LIVES ON THE SCREEN

I HATE THE ENDING MYSELF

BUT IT STARTED WITH AN ALRIGHT SCENE

IT WAS THE ROAR OF THE CROWD

THAT GAVE ME HEARTACHE TO SING

I find things like this interesting. For some reason my parents were able to get me into the Beatles at a VERY young age. like 5 or 6.
I think that gave me a good pop music grounding as I stepped forward into other things. That was my musical awakening. not saying you were worse off exactly, discovering the beauty of music is a great thing.

IT WAS A LIE WHEN THEY SMILED

I think they both deserve to be apart of that list user.

AND SAID YOU WON'T FEEL A THING

Sure but American Idiot did come out two years before and I would say had the bigger impact for this kind of pop punk/emo music. If I'm not mistaken Black Parade is also considered to be a concept album like American Idiot so I don't think it'd be a stretch to say that this album was influenced by American Idiot.

AND AS WE RAN FROM THE COPS

I get laughed at for trying to discuss Chief Keef and trap music in general, but this is Ok? Fucking slickly marketed derivative mall goth pop punk glam rock garbage?

I haven't mentioned it before, or even been in any MCR threads in an extremely long time. Must be more of us than we thought.

kill all your friends is their best song. still annoys me that it never made it onto an album.
