i don't love green day as much as I used to but I feel this way with the entire pop punk genre

this pretty much. almost every pop punk band after 1996 or so tends to cite green day as influence

literally all pop punk is garbage and no better than green day so i'm not sure why you're disappointed or even surprised by this
