Death Death Rock.

Like, death rock with death metal elements.

I'm looking for a combination between folk and emo/screamo, which sounds folksy and such but with all the heft of emo (folk-punk doesn't feel heavy enough).

Oi! crossed with crust punk

Something I conceptualized when I was a little kid. I called it Leadcore. Like, metal, but heavier and with a different texture. Edgy I know, but I was twelve.

I pretty much imagined it was a combination of industrial, folk, DC Hardcore, and metal. An emphasis on blue-collar appeal without being too pop-friendly.

A combination of Sufjan and the Melvins is my best explanation, but it's missing the emotional hardcore element.

Same man. Emo and folk, and I even dare say, country, seem like a natural blend.

the Nashville sound is pretty emo

yeah that kinda works

I've conceptualized something that sounds like a combination of shoegaze/Butthole Surfers/early Mercury Rev/early Flaming Lips and The Orb or The Future Sound of London
The only names I can come up with are corny ones like "technoise" or "psyberpop"
Some stuff has come close - Animal Collective, late 00s Brian Jonestown Massacre, Black Dice, Fuck Buttons, Primal Scream, Boredoms, acid house remixes of Madchester bands, Spectrum - but are not quite there yet

Post rock shoegaze

Tell me this wouldn't be amazing

Black Metal Hip-Hop

>half of posts wants some kind of shoegaze
>other half of posts wants some kind of noise
noise and shoegaze are literally diy-tier

Shoegaze Reggae, Reggaeze, if you will

Shoegaze Rap

Synthpop/Math rock

Chiptune + drone (chipdrone).
Basically, just take a Boris album and pitch correct it to sound like mario and put some floppy disk noise over the top.

Guys, a lot of these can be solved with the "Build Chart" function on Sonemic
Just enter your genres in "Included Genres" and switch from "Any" to "All"
Or if it doesn't work, just move one of them to "Influences"

Dream-punk, like a whole album of Pink Turns To Blue
