im not sure you made this thread to discuss healthcare

I'm not sure sincve I always had Uni healthcare or private hc on top of public provided by my employer. I always waited days, max.

I got a public dental time in 5 days and I wasn't in a hurry, just a routine check up.

where is this meme come from?

depends on the doctor
for some doctors, like neurologists or ophthalmologists it can be true

no, for me to see a gp i have to wait 1-2 days

if it's serious you can go and get seen immediately

Clicked because the faggot looks like A.J Styles...now I regret

doctor no, specialist yes

had a weird skin condition where my nose grew dandruff, took 4 months to see a dermatologist, they see stuff like skin cancer a lot faster though, had a lot of shin pain and the same thing happened with a sports medicine specialist

>Gallbladder removal
>waited a month
>pancreatitis
>arrived at ER and was taken in within five minutes
>nerve conduction studies
>waited a year
>ingrown toenail removal
>waited a week
Its a mixed bag that varies with urgency and demand for services. Can generally get an appointment with my GP in a day.

Northern Sweden = No. I went in last week with a broken toe, took 15 minutes before I got to see a doctor, another 30 to get an x-ray and I was out of there within the hour.
It's always fast up here.

Why the fuck is faggot porn so creepy

>greekicine

Will someone get the janny a hotpocket already?

bit gay
also is that that canadian prime minister Justin whats his face?

Depends on why you need to see them, if it's urgent you usually get rushed so maybe a week tops. If it's something that can wait, like a chronic disease that won't kill you or won't make you unable to work then you usually have to wait a while.

Just gonna guess it's a myth spread by private health lobbyists in the US to make people afraid of public healthcare and keep them paying those insane insurance and medical bills.

A therapist - 1 day (apply today, you'll get your visit tomorrow)
A specialist - 1-7 days

if it's something harmless like a cough you will probably need to wait
If it's something like a heart problem (like my dad did) you'll get seen by your GP as soon as they can fit you in. He phoned up his GP to make an appointment and got seen an hour later.
He then went to hospital two days later to see a specialist because it wasn't a serious heart problem, and had surgery to fix it a week later because again, it wasn't serious

Americans are fuckwits

>pancreatitis

IKTF

>aj styles
>supporting the gay community
come one now

Erhmm. Sauce? You can see doctor immediately for minor sickness.

Don't stick the movie in the top
I don't wanna such a move

i'm still waiting 8 months to get my gangrenous arm seen to

Not really, no.

>A specialist - 1-7 days
Seriously ? It takes months to see most medical specialists here.

Are all American doctors bottoms?

No
:^)

I didn't know it was gay shit

So how many hours is this going to stay up?

a GP? no you can probably see one in a couple of minutes to a couple of hours depending on the clinic and time.

specialist? if you have something that's not important it could take months. if you have something that is life threatening? you could be seen in a couple days or week.

i watched all of it, ask me anything

Depends on the situation.

For a doctor you have to wait a few hours. For a surgeon you have to wait for years sometimes even decades. I have a cyst on my face and i've been waiting 8 years to have it removed.

yes, I broke my leg once, I had to wait 5 months for a doctor to visit me

fpbp

It really depends, for a normal visit you seldom wait more than a few days.
But for a surgical operation you can often wait several years (Polish record is 25 years)

Gave me a semi

Your webm was a tad gay.

No it just means private healthcare is cheaper.
I got a root canal for about a 100 euros while Americans pay about 3000 dollars.

no

no
but the doctor will spend 5 minute max with you
often misdiagnose you
especially in over crowded sections
things like gynecology are horrible
cancer centers are decent tho
and it forces private clinics to lower their prices so that's nice

Not on penis inspection day at least

>having anal sex without preparation
fake and gay

i.4cdn.org/hm/1501326469689.webm

No

Never had to wait

Some really niche specialist and if it's non-life threatening then maybe.
Or you can just pay and go instantly.
Wow what a terrible system.

No, but public hospitals are shitty...

nope

this thread does still exist? 7 and a half hours of gay porn on Sup Forums... not bad

yes

You can just waltz into ER and a nurse will check you. If you've been to the "welness center" before and you've got papers from there saying you've got some shit you're pretty much on the express way.

If you try to do things without just marching anywhere it can take months, but in that case you don't know how to use the system.

>Is it true that in countries with universal healthcare you have to wait months to see a doctor?
No

Oh and the months thing especially applies to triflesome things like routine dental check-ups. Those do indeed take months to queue for but again you can just march somewhere and they'll check you immediately. You can also do the marching on the phone if you can express your great pain to the phone nurse.
