Thinking of supporting a Ligue 1 team, help me out Frenchies!

What team would fit what I'm looking for?
>Right wing
>Monarchists
>Not pathetic losers

I'm thinking Monaco, but they're not actually French. Is there a French team that's considered the monarchist's club?

Marseille

>monarchist club

lmao what

>not pathetic losers
>ligue un
insert joke here
just follow OGC Nice

A club with the political ideology of monarchism. For example, AC Milan is a left wing club, Inter Milan is a right wing club, Lazio is a far right wing club and Napoli is a monarchist club.

Do you even know France ? Only some nostalgic morons think about old monarchy right now.

But, you would love the old PSG, even if they were losers.

You should root for Bordeaux or Strasbourg, but the first one lost against Videoton in Europa League and the second one is coming from Ligue 2 (but has a great atmosphere).

>politics in sport
cancer

>AC Milan is a left wing club, Inter Milan is a right wing club
50 years ago maybe

Also it had nothing ti do with actual politics as much as with classes. Working class men rooted for Milan and the middle-upper class for Inter. None of that has ever mattered since Berlusconi

>t. customer

Your President wants to bring back the monarchy, so no it's not some nostalgic ideology.

>Macron

Vive le roi!

I don't think a monarchist club exists.

>Bordeaux
Republican history

>Not suggesting Nantes
>Based Catholic monarchist history

>team is connected to a political ideology

Only Monaco fits the bill. It is a literal monarchy, very conservative, and the team is good.

No one seriously thinks Monaco is "not French" btw, they are just Southern France people with a barely independent state (France provides judges, soldiers, etc. to Monaco).

Or if you want to think this way, PSG is owned by an absolute monarchy that's as right-wing as possible.

>>Not suggesting Nantes
>>Based Catholic monarchist history
It's full of antifa John.

The club you wanted to support died in 2011.
You could enjoy the match in Boulogne Kop.
F.

Also, maybe Stade de Reims in the 50's.

The club itself sucked though, do you want Llacer, Fiorèse and Mendy back?

What's the situation at Boulogne nowadays?

Plenty of suppporters from Lyon are far-right ("bad gones"), and some of them are royalists (Action Française), but most of them are just Lepenists.

ligue 1 supporters are retarded though

You're far worse than him

Stade Louis II is literally across the street from Cap d'ail, France

>t. Montpelier customer

>restores the dabourbons

France is shit country

you're citing internet forums my man. that's literally the same as (you)ing Sup Forums posts. I mean for fuck's sake, Inter and AC are both owned by chinese investment groups

obviously

>I'm thinking Monaco, but they're not actually French.

This meme needs to die, Monaco is literally a tax haven, monegasques aren't any less French than Bretons, Basques or Savoyards...

Was football even invented last time France had a monarch? Americans are so dumb.

>role playing american plastics
>decent human beans

Pick one

Old PSG would have been perfect for you (lot of right wing ultras responding to commies ultras and fighting outside the stadium once the match over)

But all ligue 1 clubs are losers, that's why it was so good the former years before Lyon and PSG fuck the shit up

I miss old PSG and old OM. Matches were so fucking awesome.
>the sweat, the tears and blood on the field
>both supporters chanting and going apeshit
>banter for about 2 weeks if one club loses

Best players = PSG
Best crowd = St etienne for the atmosphere and Nantes for the heart (they can take 5 goals and keep singing like mofos)
Best stadium = Marseille

Don't fall for the Lyon and Bordeaux meme, their glory is in the past and it's shit now.

What years was this old PSG from?

Fuck off you autistic cunt. Stop supporting random teams you have zero association with. This is why we laugh at and hate americunts.

>Supporting anything in Ligue 1
lol

>zero association
and what is your association with your favorite team?

70 to 95 is old stuff
1995 to 2005 were their best years with the born of their Marseille rivalry
After 2005 they went full shit tier (almost got relegated in 2008 due to terrible management the ultras were banned due to violence) and then get bought by Qatar in 2011 after a finally good 2010 season

Pls watch our league, we got fast pacing niggers Wenger like so much.

Monaco for the project.
St Etienne for real fans no customers.

Born in the town, lived 15 mins walk from the stadium until I was 18 years old, my dad took me to games since before I can even remember. Americans will NEVER have this with any European team.

How do you pick your favorite Spanish/German/Italian/French club?

Monaco literally got 3 fans. Rest of stadium is full of bandwagonners and Marseille/Nice supporters that want to see a football game

I don't have a 'favourite' any other nation club because I'm not an autistic faggot.

I always heard that most Monaco fans come from outside of Monaco to watch them because actual residents of Monaco don't give a flying fuck about football, they're all too busy doing rich people stuff.

How fucking old are you to take your information from those sources!? 14!?

worst thread today
yeehaw

Do you know what year football became "modernized" for a lack of a better word, like he implied As in when did political/economic rivalries become historical ones, ultras doing racist things become more forbidden, international fans put before local fans, clubs being owned by tycoons, etc. start happening?

Maybe I'm just an ignorant burger imagining this, but from what I've researched it feels like something changed somewhere around the 90s.

>canada
>not america
Pick 1

>being an unironical cuck
hang yourself.

I'll take "not america"
would happily move across the world to get farther from these piss-gargling inbreds

I can only talk about England with any kind of detail on this topic. The 80s was where English football started to change a lot. Hooliganism started to die out as stronger policing began, Hillsborough happened which led to all big stadiums becoming all-seaters, women and children attended games in larger numbers, foreigners started to take interest in English teams, and commercialisation really began to take hold too. Enter the 90s, the Premier League begins in 1992, and all of those things I mentioned that happened during the 80s start to increase exponentially.

In England there has never really been political or economic rivalries because football was always a working class men's game so those arguments never happened. There have occasionally been religious undertones in some rivalries but nowhere near as serious as you might see in other places.

>As in when did political/economic rivalries become historical ones

they're fucking sports rivalries m8. two teams constantly competing at a similar level eventually turn them into rivals, especially if they are geographically close to each other. that's it. only lazy faggot journalists and unemployed fans with nothing better to do try to make it out to be more. I mean, your country has a bunch of cities with multiple teams in it...do you think there is a political divide that separates Yankees and Mets fans? Do LA residents become Clippers or Lakers fans based on religious beliefs?
