Who are the greatest electronic producers of all time? musically and/or sound design wise. bonus points if underrated
Porter Robinson
Cradle of Filth
Unironically, Noisia. Paved the way for a lot of artists and helped Skrillex create one of the most innovative EPs in electronic music culture.
Seconding Noisia, and adding SebastiAn and Autechre.
Masonna
Tipper
Aphex Twin.
Never heard of any of his music besides Bubble Control.
What's the best example of his skills?
Disasterpeace.
I honestly don't know, user, I only know what I like: youtube.com
RAY MOTHERFUCKIN' LYNCH.
Alan Palomo is pretty fucking fantastic, Vega Intl. Nite School is one of my favorite albums of the mid 2010's. Psychic Chasms is pretty great too.
Liam Howlett t b h
Think he's not as respected as he maybe should be
That's nice and well produced but I wouldn't consider it "world best" tier.
That's alright. At least you got something out of it.
Brian Eno

I think Amon Tobin is one the best in regards to sound design. I also agree Nosia are super influential and talented in their production. I think Koan Sound, Culprate, and Moody Good deserve a mention here.
flying lotus, schlomo, clams casino, iglooghost deadmau5, aphex twin, blank banshee, kenny segal, hot sugar, eprom, troy boi, feed me, xxyyxx, zeds dead
Kraftwerk have to be up there
>sound design
Qebrµs

whoa
Martin Damm
Aphex Twin, Future sound of london
This board is a joke.
oh i haven;t heard of that guy before
There are real electronic fans. They just only post in /bleep/. Non-/bleep/ electronic threads are always embarrassing. /bleep/ only likes dance related styles though so that's kinda shitty too.
Martin Garrix
ok post what you consider good electronic music producers then
Skrillex, Oliver, Noisia, ODESZA and Koan Sound
Ulrich Schnauss
/bleep/ is trash
Calvin Harris, Tiësto, The Chainsmokers, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, the list goes on...
Kraftwerk for pioneering the genre
Unironically deadmau5, dudes a fucking autistic genius who's a borderline composer.
Aside from his short stint of electro-house around 2012 everything he has put out has been a complex masterpiece.
If you can listen to Faxing Berlin, Brazil, or Strobe without tearing up, you have no heart.
Tipper is a live performer, you gotta see him live to "get it"
Disgusting taste everywhere ITT
Do you also consider U2 and Oasis to be the greatest rock bands?
Not the best, but Nitzer Ebb is definitely a personal favorite.
youtube.com
>post-punk group that formed in the mid-1970s
>Were in the studio during the recording of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart"
>They worked extensively with Brian Eno
>The Edge made a record with members of PiL and Can and Arthur Russel
>The band were fans of Einstürzende Neubauten and My Bloody Valentine
>This Heat, Mission of Burma, and The Fall opened for them in the 80s
Early U2 was based and they put out a couple of genuine classics.
Oasis have 5 good songs to their name.

Jean Jacques Perrey
Cool, but all I hear is him sifting through a "sci-fi sfx" sample pack.
When does the music start?
>MLP t-shirt
Thoroughly unsurprised.
Unironically Venetian Snares and Goreshit.
This is the correct answer.
